I think "The Heretical Housewife" should go back to the kitchen and stop writing idiotic screeds like that. The last thing conservatism needs is to be associated with whiny, snide and empty-headed drivel - liberals already have a monopoly on shrill, whining tripe, so why do we feel the need to stoop to their level?

Ah, the perpetually adolescent Hollywood, what bores they are.

Where is the imagination? The art? The talent?

And where is the mystery, why do we have to know everything they think, their childhood traumas, their addictions, who they boink, how the boink, or if the wear undies?

James Lileks had a great line in his latest on Hollywood: he said Hollywood receives stacks of comment cards nine miles high, asking for movies with NASCAR drivers joining the Marines, going to Iraq, and killing terrorists with martial arts kicks. And what do we get? Gay sheepherders.

Nay, they grow increasingly shrill, thrashing about like a dinosaur caught in the tar pits.

Insert your graphic here!

Does hollywood think most of us really care to hear about
sheep herders covering their body parts in human feces
and those that can't figure out what sex they are by looking in the mirror?

Yet these exact story lines will likely win whatever "honors"
hollywood has to offer.

I'll pass thank you.

Stupid movies, high cost of tickets, high costs of popcorn and $5 soft drinks.

And still 9% go see movies?

Either this economy is doing very well or some people just dont have cable!

...Brokeback Mountain, a movie about gay sheepherders...

LMAO! I had no idea they were sheepherders. A little irony there whether intended or not.

I think Hollywood needs to replace their CEO's and find some good wholesome capitalist...someone who knows how to make money and entertain us again. Americans would be happy to go again if there was anything intelligent to see. It's all vulgar, boring and preachy...*yawn*

Surely they see they are losing money, and don't call me Shirley.

Rachel Weisz won best supporting actress for her work in The Constant Gardener, a LeCarre take on the evils of Big Pharmaceutical

And this is a bad thing? (not the actress, the subject of the movie)
