COPENHAGEN, Feb 2, 2006 (AFP) - Denmark, where the publication of cartoons of Prophet Mohammed has provoked the wrath of the entire Muslim world, should "look at what happened to Theo van Gogh", a radical Islamic group warned on Thursday, referring to a murdered Dutch filmmaker.
"It says in the Koran that the death penalty should be used for anyone who insults the prophet," Anjem Ghoudary, a spokesman for the London-based Al Ghurabaa group, told Danish daily Politiken.
"Look at what happened to Theo van Gogh in Holland and you will understand that Muslims should be taken seriously," he added, referring to the 2004 murder of the filmmaker by a Muslim radical for linking Islam to abuse of women.
Ghoudary's comments came as Muslim anger continued to balloon over 12 caricatures of Mohammed, which first appeared in Danish daily Jyllands-Posten, provoking burnings of Danish flags, the recalling of ambassadors, boycotts of Danish products and threats of violence against Scandinavians in Muslim countries.
The Al-Ghurabaa group, which counts as members many former students of the radical cleric Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed who was stripped of his British residency last August as part of London's bid to rein in radical Islamic leaders, has also called for a demonstration on Friday outside the Danish embassy in the British capital.
On its website, the group calls Denmark, France and Norway, where the controversial drawings have also been published, the "Trinity of Evil", carrying an image of the three countries' flags ablaze.
"The recent cartoons that appeared in a Danish newspaper and that were then re-printed ... which insult the Messenger Muhammad carry the death penalty in Islam for the perpetrators, since the Prophet said 'Whoever insults a Prophet kill him'," the group states on its site.
Winnie the Pooh's little friend isn't a full grown Danish Ham yet, he's still just a Hamlet.
bump
Thanks for the correction....much to fast with the
fingers.
'Whoever insults a Prophet kill him',"
mohammed (cursed be his sorry ass) is a syphilitic cockroach.
Any jihadist who wants a little come and get it. I am easily found, and even have my name in a previous post.
What's really pathetic, when all the bluster and returning fire and so forth is done, is that these guys think that the way to be taken seriously is to commit murder and mayhem. And, yeah, if they do that, we'll take 'em about as seriously as mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are as revolting, as capable of carrying death to thousands, worthy of sterilization and other methods of extermination.
Humans, even Muslim humans, deserve better than mosquitoes ... UNLESS they insist on acting like vermin, in which case they will be treated like vermin and wiped out.
Brit Hume on Special Report tonight showed the cartoons of Mohammed. I guess he's now on the death list. The PC folks at CNN scrambled the images.
There might be a country in Europe so fed up with these cowardly weaklings, that they WILL vote for another Hitler to take care of them once and for all. If this happens, they will not have anybody to blame but themselves.
Truly amazing how history may look back and marvel at how a few cartoons managed to wake the West from its PC stupor. The "outrage" is patently ridiculous and the leftoid apologists can't defend the reaction without looking even more ridiculous themselves.
Lissen: P.S. It may not be in the Koran, but that don't mean it's not true. In fact, its not being in the Koran increases the probability that it's true.
That is a fantastic passage.
I had glanced through the Koran long ago, but never noted it.
Is the passage really 9:11?
oink boinking ham-ass party ping!
This statement gives them all the reason they need to deport anyone associated with that group.
Not yet. No it isn't. But give us a couple of years and it will be in the new improved Koran -- the More accurate one..
And the flight patch that it was created from:
I wear that patch on my flight jacket. 8^)
All that being said, your point is correct.
I took my family out for lunch this afternoon. At the restaurant, there were TVs around, with the sound down -- set to CNN. I watched them show the cartoon from the Washington Post -- the one with the multiple amputee -- that the Joint Chiefs objected to.
Then about fifteen minutes later -- I saw them get into the Danish cartoon fiasco. I just about lost my cookies -- er, my tacos -- when I saw CNN "showing" the offending cartoons -- AND BLURRING MOHAMMED'S FACE IN EVERY ONE! It was just fine to show that filth from the WaPo -- but they were so chicken-s*** they blurred out the ones that offended the rag-heads.
I'm afraid I caused a little bit of a scene today at that restaurant. Yelling at CNN and death-cultists, it seems, is not really looked upon with favor in the middle of dinner.
Still fuming. Anyone else see that?
Thanks for the heads up.
Very nice! I like that, now if only our prez had some nads!
