"I know what honor is.
... It has been an honor to protect and serve all of you.
I faced death with the secure knowledge that you would not have to....
Never falter! Don't hesitate to honor and support those of us
who have the honor of protecting that which is worth protecting."

State of The Union Address Transcript

White House | January 31, 2006 | President George Bush

"Our nation is grateful to the fallen,
who live in the memory of our country.
We're grateful to all
who volunteer to wear our nation's uniform
-- and as we honor our brave troops,
let us never forget the sacrifices
of America's military families."

And now a word from our REAL Sponsors of Free Speech

The Men and Women who serve,
and have served, our country
are the ones who make sure that
the Politicans and Judges are free to do their job.

We would not have a US Supreme Court
without the protection of the Military.

Politicans and Judges are safe
because of the Military who protect them.

TEST : Call your Senator or Congressman's office
AFTER 5 PM, or on the weekend.
IF you speak to an actual person, ask who's in charge today?

Now look up the phone number
of your local military base.
Call that number 24/7
and ask the live voice you get
to speak with the person in charge.

Send a Thank You while you enjoy your Freedom also.

You will stay right where you are on the thread.
Please take a moment and Thank a Service Man or Woman.

My guess is that it's a few years old, but someone with those features will age nicely and meanwhile, we ladies get someone who is a good conservative and quite nice looking.

All in all, it's been a good week!

I hope he lives up to the phonetic pronunciation of his name. The Pubs need a boner (or a spine)

DeLay was a good solid conservative, and I know good solid conservatives who thought he came across as very mean spirited.

So do I.

Wasn't Blunt the choice of the White House?

McCain is trying to warm up to conservatives.

I agree 100 percent; frankly, I was surprised he did this; it was a huge risk -- and now he's been smacked down.

Shadegg would have been a lot better

Now that I am seeing Boehner's qualifications all in one thread, I'm happy with this; I liked Shadegg, but I'm not sure he could "deliver," if you know what I mean.

Boehner is by far less conservative than Roy. I dont get the Shadegg endorsment for Boehner.

That said, I dont think Roy ran a very good campaign. Instead of engaging people on ideas and reminding members of accomplishments - it was like i dunno - it just didnt work.

One of only 17 Republicans to vote against the Act.

Anyone have any idea why???

Boehner scores A by NRA on pro-gun rights policies
Voted YES on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1.
Voted YES on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse.

Although, being from Ohio this makes him the most powerful Ohioian in 75 years...
I did like Shadegg's plan for opening up the competetive health care insurance market. It would lower premium prices at no tax payer costs.
