Denmark Updates

Jyllands Posten has published a cartoon graphic depicting the mastheads of the European newspapers which have published the Muhammad cartoons.

The Counter-terrorism blog reports

One issue that puzzles many Danes is the timing of this outburst. The cartoons were published in September: Why have the protests erupted from Muslims worldwide only now? The person who knows the answer to this question is Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, a man that the Washington Post has recently profiled as “one of Denmark’s most prominent imams.”

Last November, Abu Laban, a 60-year-old Palestinian who had served as translator and assistant to top Gamaa Islamiya leader Talaal Fouad Qassimy during the mid-1990s and has been connected by Danish intelligence to other Islamists operating in the country, put together a delegation that traveled to the Middle East to discuss the issue of the cartoons with senior officials and prominent Islamic scholars. The delegation met with Arab League Secretary Amr Moussa, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Sheikh Mohammad Sayyed Tantawi, and Sunni Islam’s most influential scholar, Yusuf al Qaradawi. “We want to internationalize this issue so that the Danish government will realize that the cartoons were insulting, not only to Muslims in Denmark, but also to Muslims worldwide,” said Abu Laban.

On its face, it would appear as if nothing were wrong. However, the Danish Muslim delegation showed much more than the 12 cartoons published by Jyllands Posten. In the booklet it presented during its tour of the Middle East, the delegation included other cartoons of Mohammed that were highly offensive, including one where the Prophet has a pig face. But these additional pictures were NOT published by the newspaper, but were completely fabricated by the delegation and inserted in the booklet (which has been obtained and made available to me by Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet). The delegation has claimed that the differentiation was made to their interlocutors, even though the claim has not been independently verified. In any case, the action was a deliberate malicious and irresponsible deed carried out by a notorious Islamist who in another situation had said that “mockery against Mohamed deserves death penalty.” And in a quintessential exercise in taqiya, Abu Laban has praised the boycott of Danish goods on al Jazeera, while condemning it on Danish TV. [emphasis added]

In other words, this was indeed a campaign, planned by important members of the Islamic world’s power structure, intended to force Denmark to comply with Sharia requirements. A new norm, that a western nation would conform to Sharia regardless of its free exression tradition, would be on the way to being established. Let a few more small nations succumb and someday a United States Supreme Court Justice might cite such behavior as a precedent in a decision. (added to “Comic Outrage”)

This is getting more and more interesting as the veil gets pulled back on this ugly cult.

Let's expand drilling for oil in Alaska and boycott Islamic oil.

Let's build nuclear power plants and reduce our need for oil.

Ethanol looks like a reasonable alternative for cars, and we won't run out.

Thanks DS, I'll repost what I said earlier:

The islamic response or threats and boycotts just goes to highlight exactly what their cult is all about. Fear, and intimidation.

The cartoons are so offensive because they reflect facets of the truth, and this is what they do not want revealed. Instead of having the courage to face up to the truth about their so-called "prophet," his rape, his terror, his genocide, his pedophilia, and the present day outcomes of following his vile ideology, they try to hide the truth in the dark and "shoot the messenger" who reveals it instead.

Now why would someone go to such great lengths to do this?

Because they know the man and the facts surrounding him are the basis for the whole pack of lies the house of cards called islam is built upon. If mohamMAD is exposed, the entire house of cards based on his lies will come down.

Spread the truth, let muslim and non-muslim alike read for themselves the history of mohamMAD.

Freedom of speech is a right and will set them free. They should learn to live with it.

Imposing restrictions on images of mohamMAD is enforcing elements of sharia in the west.

The dhimmis do not understand this angle, but many RoPers do and will marvel at the powers of allah over the unbelievers. This will reinforce and encourage their beliefs. Today it's cartoons of Mo, tomorrow it will be something else.

Let the world be awash in depictions of the unholy prophet to support free speech so their protests backfire on them! They have to learn their threats and intimidation will not work and if they did not make such a big deal of this it would never have blown into something so huge in the first place. The more the merrier!

Funny how the Islamic world does not get offended when Islamic Terrorists kill innocent people in the name of Allah.

Denmark, we stand by you! The free of the world, whether Danes, Europeans, Americans, Asians, Australians, even the handful of decent Muslims, must never cow to this mindless barbarity. We are nearing the moment of truth, not from a wholly Christian point of view, but from a human point of view. We must unite to withstand this disgusting nonsense of Islamicism, or our civilization will fail utterly.

We, as free citizens, must never lose hope that our values will ultimately prevail. In 1453, the West wavered and allowed Constantinople to fall to the Islamic hordes from the Anatolian deserts. In 1453. And yet 100 years later, two hundred and fifty years later, five hundred and fifty-three years later, to this day, the greatest monument of that city, its greatest glory, is a CHURCH TO CHRIST! Christians are not free to worship there, that is for sure, but Istanbul's greatest, enduring majesty is a CHURCH TO CHRIST. Why? Muslims blow themselves up; they slice their skin like madmen and dance like demons possessed; they demand everything and give nothing. They burn effigies and disrespect everything that is not of their world. Thus it is no wonder that the greatest majesty of the Islamic world is a CHURCH TO CHRIST. They talk of their stargazers from five hundred years ago, but what have they done lately? They have had centuries to try, yet they cannot better that which predated their civilization by centuries: A Church to Christ, Hagia Sofia. We must never forget it. Never.

Denmark, please don't pretend that goodwill is going to make this go away. It may fade into the background again, but it will never go away. I saw photos yesterday of Danes protesting peacefully, calling for honest dialogue with the other side. Fine Danes, I am sure, who care enormously about the future of their children AND the future of other nations' children. But don't delude yourselves. The other side is not interested in dialogue. The other side does not care about you or your children. How could they when they don't even care about their own children? Please don't delude yourselves. Don't stand for dialogue with those who would kill over cartoons. Stand for decency and humanity. Stand for Bohr, and Kirkegaard, and Nielsen and all those who have made Denmark great.

Your friend in America,
Matt

This needs to be repeated:

In 1453. And yet 100 years later, two hundred and fifty years later, five hundred and fifty-three years later, to this day, the greatest monument of that city, its greatest glory, is a CHURCH TO CHRIST! ...we forget our own history, let it be twisted and warped by those who seek to undermine us, and make too many sniveling apologies based on others lies, manipulated outrage, and propaganda.

This war will always be as much an information jihad as it is a physical one, and we have much work to do in the former.
