It is that time of year again. President Bush will journey tonight to Capitol Hill to do a ritual called the State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress. That is, for members who decide to show up.
The President will outline what he wants Congress to do. He will get huge media coverage, those members of Congress who love getting their faces on television will arrive early to get an aisle seat so they can be seen shaking hands with the president and then they will converge in Capitol Hills Statuary Hall afterward and do interviews with television and any other media outlet that wants to talk to them....

It is a National sales tax, the creators of the legislation dubbed it the Fair tax, but not calling it the fairtax anymore is not gonna go through, you can call it whatever you want but be sure you tell your representative exactly which bill you suppport.

There are many, many who agree with you completely - over 600,000 registered members of Americans For Fair Taxation, the organization behind the FairTax.
Just keep on telling people about it ... it is a GROWING, GROWING grassroots movement.
Thanks, I promise to review the info.

I've heard your concern from a numbers of people. Please read more about the way the Fair Tax works. When you draw your savings from a 401, and spend money, you are paying the imbedded taxes today. Those will be replaced by the Fair Tax, the cost outof pocket for what you spend on will not change. And, you are still taxed an income tax - lower rate on what you will withdraw - and that will go away under the Fair Tax. I believe with some research you will see this as an overall improvement in your position.
