WASHINGTON -- While jumping up on cue to cheer during the speech and delivering rave reviews afterward in the Capitol's Statuary Hall, conservative members of Congress were deeply disappointed by George W. Bush Tuesday night. It was not merely that the president abandoned past domestic goals. He appeared to be moving toward bigger government.
The consensus on the Right was that President Bush's fifth State of the Union Address was his worst. Republican congressmen agreed privately that he was most effective at the beginning with his familiar message of why U.S. forces cannot abandon Iraq. The problem for these lawmakers was the rest of the 51-minute presentation, which was filled with unpleasant surprises.

No kidding! I know I must seem overemotional at times. But I sure get sick of the "guilt trippers" on here that crab when others don't go along with them, and act like we need to be enlightened with the 'truth', according to them!
I mean, I remember several articles after 9-11 happened that claimed our borders were closed. One of them reported that even V.Fox/Mexican Pres., was discouraged when we had to shut it down; but said he understood why, after what happened that day!
I'd swear that some people think he is magical, and can wave a magic wand, and the illegal aliens just "poof" and disappear in a puff of smoke! Gee, I don't remember any Pres. being "that" powerful, not even RR!
I never said I had any influence; that seems to be something that you need to make yourself feel important. People don't need me to tell them about you; they can read your posts and make up their own minds.
Unlike you, I trust people to see through the BS and the meanness. And you and your ilk aren't going to be able to drag this party down the dumper with you in 2006 or 2008.
Fortunately, you don't cramp anyone's style.
So is the proposal to buy all the ethical drugs from countries other than the US. "Gut" the US patent laws, that's the effect of buying all the stuff from over the border. Wonder what the effects of THAT might be?

REPARATIONS?
You tax breaks?
I confess I am not up to speed on that; I happened by the hearing on CSPAN yesterday just in time to hear our senator from Alaska <?> telling Joe Liebermann that today wasn't the day to DECIDE what the liability coverage was going to be, that today was the day we needed to set the process in motion and worry about the liability details later.
The Democrats aren't willing to even CONSIDER starting the manufacturing until they have their lawyer friends taken care of!
Yes, it is. So I'll help you out and dump on myself. It's too bad that my wonderful husband found FR, bought me a WebTV, and set me up on it; now isn't it? LOL
Now that is hard work.....I could not browse without my mouse....
Lol. Howlin even asked who I was...
I watched Chuck Grassley give my DUmmie Senator Baucus the verbal smackdown on CSPAN2 today. Talking about the fact that the left has allowed Bush's tax cut proposal sunset through stall tactics. It was a beautiful thing to watch. Baucus was stammering, but then again, he's always stammering.
G'Night everybody.
A lovely, womderful thunderstorm and pouring rain has commenced.
The only possible intersection is reduction in liability for drug developers, and that is already fairly well curtailed.
GOOD NITE onyx!
That's right, declare yourself the winner and it shall be so; in your wee world. Lies, lies, fabrications, delusions, and hysterics are all you are offering at the moment.
You are in the right spot now for getting that lovely rain you like so well!
