As I understand it, this is just a temporary delay. I think AP is just trying to make trouble.
Well, obviously this one vote is proof he's another Souter. I'll never vote for another Republican again. </hysteric Freeper response>
I dunno.....Don't think we're off to a good start, Justice Alito.
Probably hasn't seen one of these. They don't seem to do this kind of thing in his old circut.
THIS IS NOT CORRECT!
It was a 9-0 decision.

It says they all voted 9-0. So,which one is it?
It is common to make otherwise fireable mistakes on your first day at work (depending on the job of course).
Uh-Oh.
When I was driving home this evening, the news on the radio was reporting this as a 9-0 decision. Curious.
"Is he a liberal?"
that is sarcasm isn't it.
regardless of political leanings as a first act as SC Judge to not allow review of a death penalty case would be harsh.
but then again the way the dems were talking I thought he was going to personally execute every woman and black on the day he was confirmed.
Alito casts first vote in Missouri death penalty case - appeal says cruel and unusual punishment
I seriously doubt it...
He voted WITH everyone else and it was a 9-0 decision.
It's only temporary also.

WASHINGTON -- New Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito cast his first vote on Wednesday, as the court refused to give Missouri permission to immediately execute a man who killed a teenage honor student. The court's 9-0 action was procedural, however, because a stay was already set to expire Wednesday afternoon. |
Well, I don't think we should execute Missouri either, afterall there are a lot of good people there.
;)
AP is really pathetic. It was a 9-0 decision and is procedural.
Another strike for the MSM.
Alito Opposes Mo. ExecutionWHAT a friggen misleading headline!
Additional scorn for all who FELL for it!
Geesh!
Focus, read, research and cross-check your information people.
It was 9-0.
