"With all due respect your limited depth of knowledge concerning the immigration issue is exceeded only by your own percieved understanding of it.

Start your reply with an insult. By the way you misspelled "preceived"

"There is absolutely nothing indicating that this administration is or desires to move toward an "Open border policy" If Bush gets his guest worker program he will aquiesce to the building of the fence and strict enforement of laws concerning illegal immigration. bet on it.

I have no idea what you were trying to say. Do you?

Just excatly how would you propose to handle the 11,000,000 illegals here now. I'd love to hear a coherent plan from you as to how exactly we would get rid of them.

Bus them to the border. Greyhound would love the business.

"Do you have the foggiest idea the consequences of removing 11,000,000 people from the employement rolls??? Wage rates would skyrocket as would inflation. Also are you aware that these people DO pay SS tax. The removal of 11 million workers from the rolls presently paying into SS would make a bad situation one helluva lot worse."

Fat people would have to mow their own grass. Billions would be saved on free health care, prisons overcrowding would be resolved overnight. etc, etc...

"Bushs proposal is a common sense approach to addressing the situation thatallows people to become citizens legally and at the same time preserve the dilicate balance of labor supply and demand."

The problem has grown under the Bush admin while he has turned away.

"Kneejerk absolutism in the approach by people such as yourself is generated more from hormones than brain cells."

This comment speaks volumes about the writter.

Have a nice day.

"President Bush is one of the least talented public speakers among presidents in memory."

I agree with ya. Bush is not a great speaker, at least most of the time on TV he's not. I saw him in Waukesha Wi, and he rocked the place.

I was hoping for more Tax reform / Border Control context in the speech. We all know about the WOT and that the Moonbats are FOS - if he would have hammered on that more, I would have gone straight A - I had to go B - Can't join the D-F commie crowd.... Even if he can't give a flawless speech.

That being said - he did get all the libs to stand up and applaud their own obstructionist ways - RNC campaign ad anyone....

The American Thinker February 3, 2004 | Thomas Lifson

*****

One final note on George W. Bush’s management style and his Harvard Business School background does not derive from the classroom, per se. One feature of life there is that a subculture of poker players exists. Poker is a natural fit with the inclinations, talents, and skills of many future entrepreneurs. A close reading of the odds, combined with the ability to out-psych the opposition, leads to capital accumulation in many fields, aside from the poker table.

By reputation, the President was a very avid and skillful poker player when he was an MBA student. One of the secrets of a successful poker player is to encourage your opponent to bet a lot of chips on a losing hand. This is a pattern of behavior one sees repeatedly in George W. Bush’s political career. He is not one to loudly proclaim his strengths at the beginning of a campaign. Instead, he bides his time, does not respond forcefully, at least at first, to critiques from his enemies, no matter how loud and annoying they get. If anything, this apparent passivity only goads them into making their case more emphatically.

G.W. has the cards!!!!

Normally I would of gave it maybe a B+, but after tuning in Air America last night before going to bed (just to see what they were saying), and hearing how angry and upset they were, I was most delighted. Some callers were calling for an armed insurrection. Only Bush could get these lefties that angry.

Then there is the possibility that the left will win the Mexican election and decree that everyone has to stay put, as they always do.

'Some callers were calling for an armed insurrection.'

Ha, most of them would shoot themselves or innocent bystanders; they hate guns because they are afraid of them!
