E-Mail from a friend who says his mother (Red Cross volunteer) was asked today to try to round up volunteers for a "non-specific" threat on Sunday.
Request for info from Red Crosser's in the Detroit area.
Super Bowl.
Or Seattle...
Not terror related. They just want to be ready to carry out the Seahawks after the Steelers open a can of whupass on them.
I think they're worried about riots.
If my friend didn't work for the "No Such Agency", I wouldn't even have bothered posting this.
If he's e-mailing me, it's because he has questions.
Whats left to burn?
They're there to treat the victims of Hurricane Polamalu (Steelers) and Hurricane Tutupu (Seahawks).
Go Trojans!
"non-specific threat"
Specifically, Steelers' fans.
Try going out to google and search for something like:
SuperBowl Security Precautions......or SuperBowl Security Threats....SuperBowl Security Rumors
See what comes up. Saw some mention in the last 10 days about some extra heightened security around the event.
Amen, every bar is in the danger zone.
Detroit is the future of all Socialist hell-holes.
It is the future of America under Democrats.
Good thing it's not Philly fans or else they would've had to call in the Marines instead.
They would have known about riots when they picked Detroit to host the SB.
The call came out today.
I take this seriously if others don't. Thanks.
No problem. Just wish that some MI Red Crossers could confirm.
That's right Trojan, keep chanting
WE'RE NUMBER 2, WE'RE NUMBER 2
Thank you for posting this. Weeks ago I saw a developing story on Drudge and here about the stepped up security but it seams to have dropped as quickly as it appeared. This has been a concern for many, just pray that nothing happens.
I live in the Detroit area and haven't heard anything about a threat. They have downtown near the staduim sealed up pretty tight, though.
(Factoid: Detroit has the largest arab population outside of the middle east)
