A long time political consultant argues that the senior senator from Delaware is the Democrats best shot -----
There are several ways we choose our presidents. During the primaries, we may vote for the person who looks as if he or she will perform best as a candidatesomeone who looks presidential, who seems savvy with the media and who will represent our best interests. At the last moment, we might pick the candidate who seems to have the best head of steamthe person who could actually win. Others vote for the candidate they believe would make the best president, based on intellect, personal skills and public-service experience. Still others vote on single issuesabortion, taxes, defense, foreign policy, education, moral values, health or the environment. A final group casts its ballot for geographical reasons, the home state or regional candidate.
As the Democrats cast about for a candidate who can win in 2008, I want to make the case for Joe Biden. After 34 years in the Senate, Biden can appeal to voters on nearly all of the above criteria. Hes familiar to many votersfrom his (admittedly verbose) questioning during the Alito hears to his passionate arguments in favor of U.S. intervention in the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s.In fact, Biden has held public office far longer than any of the new crop of possible presidential candidates (he was elected at the age of 29) and is an influential member and former chairman of both the Judiciary and Foreign Relations Committees.
The senior senator from Delaware has an appealing media persona:

Now his family is fully grown and its Bidens turn again. My prediction: The senator would make a formidable candidate for the democrats and a great president for the nation.

JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS!
Bob Shrum?
Is that you?
Joe 'Fliptop' Biden? Has Neil Kinnock signed off on this?
He plagiarizes, lies, is long-winded and has grossly obvious hair plugs.
He's perfect for George Allen to beat in 08. BUAHAHAHAHHA!
Joe Biden hee hee hee hee.
The Democrats have a problem---All the good candidates are Republicans.
Pretty funny that the loser who is floating this lead balloon doesn't want his name associated with it.
What a bogus story. I hope the reporter didn't get a full day's pay for turning in this slop.
Oops - my mistake- the "consultant" was the author Ron Goldstein!
Still a cow pie of an article. I guess Newsweak didn't want to pay a reporter for the column space.
Either the whole piece is BS, which you must automatically assume since the source is a RAT source, or this political consultant is the infamous Bob Shrum who is something like 0/9 in Presidential Elections.
I can't wait for Biden to give his Whitehall, er I mean acceptance speech for the Dem nomination.
How is some liberal a-hole from Delaware going to win one state in the South?
Yeah, that's the ticket. Especially now that his hair's grown back in. I think we should encourage our Democratic friends to follow through on this brilliant idea.
He can't get passed this stuff:
Bidens outright plagiarism of a British politicians speech. .
In 1965 Biden plagiarized while writing a paper as a student at the Syracuse University Law School in a legal methods course which he failed because of that copied paper.
Where's the BARF alert on this idea??? Biden: what a joke!
Bush hit the all out of the park with the State of the Union speech. Joe Biden couldn`t come close.
