Yes! Not done yet but i'll have fun with it.. : )

That's okay, Mayor, I've about got it done after making dumb mistakes.
Yes, it's for handicapped. My wife just had a second total knee replacement, and the new bathroom doesn't have anything for her to use to pull herself up. The studs are wrong for the length/style of bar that I have, so I'm using toggle bolts. Each end-cap has three holes for the fasteners, I can fit one hole to a stud and the other two miss the stud entirely.
Hey, Hijinx...thanks for the report. Sounds like things are right on track.
I think the lack of appetite is partly because of the anesthetics she took. They cause some residual nausea after surgery. Her appetite will come back in a few days.
((((hugs))))...to both of you. So glad this is behind you and it is all good now. Just have to get through that initial pain and therapy. She'll do good.
Very good page, so far...we have hard water here, and I wouldn't have thought about cleaning out the holes under the rim.
Thanks, HJ, for the update. Prayers for Nana's recovery to go exactly as planned, with a minimum of pain. ((HUGS)) for you both.
If you find that is not strong enough, cut out a piece of drywall, add a piece of 2x4 between studs and put the drywall back over it.
It's not that hard to do.. I hope she gets better fast.
Oh, thank you so much!!
You see all kinds of people at hospitals...Nana is sharing her room with a real pain-in-the-ponytail woman. She broke her hip and had it replaced, and is defying all of the doctor's orders.
Our friend was there tonight after spending all day in a local nursing homes tending to folks who don't get visitors. One of the ladies she sat with had to be tied down because she refused to stay in bed with a broken hip...moving around or sitting up will only aggravate the injury! That experience helped her deal with Nana's room-mate.
God does work in mysterious ways.
We'll get you down here somehow! You just gotta come. It's going to be so much fun and your l'il brother will probably be coming along.
I don't think Mrs Mayor would agree with that.. Haha!
I was head of maintenance at 3 apt. complexes and was taught by the old timers. They are full of knowledge.
That add-a-stud trick is a last resort for someone with my skillset...but it's not impossible.
I just hate to do it in a brand new house! Oh well...
Thanks for the good wishes. We're both looking at a better recovery this time around.
Yea!!!! Home safely. Hope things are getting back to normal for you!
I wouldn't worry about her not eating just yet..
Anesthesia does weird things to you..
Everything kind of shuts down for abit..
Make SURE she drinks water and stuff though..
When I was laid up..
I LOVED those yogurt Smoothie drinks..
Might you try that?
She'll be just fine..Tell her if she has pain, to take her Morphine..
Pain is VERY difficult to get back under control if it gets away from you..
Ms.B
It worked! When ever you faucetts fail to run right, take off the head of it and clean out the screen. You may find little pebbles in it.
Hey, another idea for page! Off to it!
Oh, good!
Hear you.Little signs-little blessings-God,s Hand.
See...great ideas!
Yeah, cleaning faucet screens is something I've done from way back...lots easier and cheaper than trying to replace them.
Drinking isn't a problem, and letting the pain take hold really isn't, either.
She's a smart cookie...but doesn't like not being in control of herself.
Whoops forgot only kidding but it is nice to know how to fix something.
