There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
I hope you get to see a replay--it was one of his top three speeches ever. Awesome job. And you should've seen the dems--their beebers were stuned :)
I like Allen and Pence.
But I really think we need to look outside the Beltway. How is our Governor bench?
I would also rate this one as a 90-95 out of 100.
Good work speechwriters and President Bush!
What part of jealous do you not understand?
I have promised myself a vacation to Hawaii, when all the drudge from this move is over. Soon, I hope, very soon.
Even Sen. Specter commented on how "upbeat" the President was. The best thing for me is that the entire country got to see what we see here every day - that the President IS upbeat, positive, energetic, and focused on trying to guide our nation through the perils of our time - despite the terrible and desperate attempts by the leftists, the communists, the socialists, the Islamist fanatics, and all the associated hangers on - tearing down him and working with all they are worth to tear down this country. I don't see how he carries on with the upbeat positive focus he has. I was most glad for the world to see him tonight - showing what is best about America.
They only showed her briefly as the chamber was filling. She was absolutely radiant!
I plan to watch my videotape of the speech shortly . . . just caught the last few minutes live (loved what I heard)!
Glad you mentioned your packages for the troops -- I'll get another check in the mail to you soon!
Do you remember in which section she sat and with whom?
Mike, amen! But, she'd be treated too well at Gitmo.
You're welcome, Otta. Don't stay away so long, now.....OK?? :)
And, he's going to be so much worse than Warner. Just wait until Virginians figure that out. They are going to feel so betrayed for voting that idiot into office!
Fortunately, I'm down here, where the President's brother is Governor, and I have no complaints except that the DEA is targeting "pain management specialists" in the state. I may yet have to go picket outside the FL statehouse!!! having been a DC Freeper makes ya active, dontcha know?
So glad to see you posting and yes, I will send anybody who mentions moving and that particular moving company to talk to you first!
I thought it was a great speech too. I am pleased.
I like Romney. Personally, I would much rather Condi run but I know she won't.
Chris Wallace on now saying that the President "didn't give an inch" on national security. Says that his demeanor at lunch was confident and "free-wheeling." Wallace says he went on at least half an hour longer than usual, and Wallace says he was blessed to have the opportunity and that every American should have that opportunity!
Thougth Chris Wallace was very fair and very pro the President much better than the round table.
HA....don't come to WASHINGTON...the State....or OREGON....OR CALIFORNIA....or.....
Any day the Dims have their beebers stuned is a great day for the country! Were the drinks ready for The Swimmer, and did anyone send Kerry back to the ski slopes? Inquiring minds want to know.
