There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
Hello everyone! What a great speech..Few points I am interested in were the health savings account(I have one) would like to see them expanded to force competition. This was one of Bush's best plans, ours has been great, much better than other plans self-employed are forced to buy..Also, I hope to see him keep pushing the social security reform (regardless of the tactless, juvenile behavior exhibited by the dims. Overall a very optimistic, well received speech. Even though I must complain that the cameras panned to Hillary too many times. Once is too many but still....:)
To all White House personnel...
We LOVE our President!!!
Polls lie...do not believe them. President Bush is admired by the real "mainstream" America! (as opposed to the Cape Cod Ora's idea of "mainstream")
I think everyone on Brit's panel missed it - but we got it here on the Dose. We recognize the import of those final paragraphs!!!
I'm embarrassed that Kaine is now the Govenor of my former state. What a dunce. He's making such a silly speech - did anyone on the Dimocrat side think to review what he was going to say?
Not you, Goodness, the Dims!
'ignoring Kaine'
me too. blah, blah, blah
Gov. Tom Kaine is giving the dem response (the dems' internal polling must've told them that last year's tagteam response by unblinking Nancy Pelosi and dingy Harry Reid repulsed viewers)
My TV's off to the dems response. I SAW their response when they sat on their behinds during the speech!
Yes I see the President still involved but we must understand the communists in this country and the Islamist terrorists in this world hate his guts. We who love this President will need to be in prayer for him for a very long time.
Absolutely. President Bush will be recorded in history as one of the greatest (IMO, THE greatest) presidents in our country. I'm so proud to have him as our President and someday, the rest of the world will understand why.
he has a WEIRD eyebrow.....must go up when he lies.....
Hi, Truthie. Nice to bump into you on this good thread.
Democrat response......time for a POTTY break!!! LOL
Hiya Truthie! Nice to "see" you! ((hugs))
Back before the Virginia election, my friend Sarah and I were watching one of the debates and we noticed Kaine's weird eyebrow thing.
ROTF!
Hi, dittomom - glad you enjoyed watching the speech here. So did I. I knew this would be the place to be tonight and it did not disappoint!
