There are 1375 Parties nationwide, and WE are the biggest and the best! Tonight, President Bush, in his STATE of the UNION speech, will discuss America's leadership in the world and share his vision to lead America forward. To seize opportunities here at home, the President will outline the policies needed for the American people to continue to compete in the global economy.
Earlier today, the President sat with Supreme Court nominee, Samuel Alito in the Roosevelt Room at the White House, and watched the Senate confirmation vote as they approved his nomination 58-42, fulfilling one of President Bush's most significant campaign pledges by placing on the Supreme Court another justice who will interpret the Constitution as the Founders intended, and not legislate from the bench. THANK you, President Bush! (Justice Alito was sworn in at 12:07 this afternoon as the 110th Supreme Court Justice)
President Bush also released a statement regarding the death of widow of Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr, Coretta Scott King and met with TV reporters in the White House to give them a glimpse of his State of the Union, emphasizing his optimism for the future of America. He also continued to work on this speech for tonight.
The economy is strong, we are winning our War on Terror and it is a GOOD DAY in America, and a GREAT time to be a Bush-bot!
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose............ let's PARTY!!!!!!!!!
I didn't think I was gonna be first. A great day to be first though. Justice Alito and Fed Chairman Bernanke and in less than two hours....the State of the Union! Woohoo!!!
Good to have you stop by. (Glad I cleaned my house for this gig!)
But come back when it's over, OKAY??
It takes time and you take the time for us. (((hugs)))
You're kidding me! Who let that hag in there?
But thanks for stopping in anyway.....
Lookit that big ole smile...just like mine was.
PARTY TIME!!
As we prepare for the President's SOTU, we should THANK President George W Bush for his vision, courage and integrity:
"THANK YOU MR PRESIDENT"

"As you deliver your State of the Union speech tonight, Mr. President, and enter the sixth year of your presidency there is something I want to say.
It is Thank you, Mr. President.
You have achieved three important things in the last five years, Mr. President, and thats as good as it gets.
First of all, you have responded to the challenge of Islamic rich kid Usama bin Laden and his twisted observance of the Turkish defeat at the gates of Vienna on 9/11 back in 1683.
Secondly, you have put our American wealth-creation machine back on track after the scare of the Great Tech Bear Market of 2000 to 2003 when the NASDAQ declined by over 75 percent.
And now it looks as though you have ended the poisonous Bork era, the twenty years of shame in which liberal interest groups made sport of assassinating the characters of conservative Supreme Court nominees.
Three big things, Mr. President.
They say that a president should limit himself to three big things for his time in office, else he will dissipate his energies on ephemera. That puts you in the home stretch already, you fortunate son"

"COURTS"
By Jayson

"Its been five years since Prez Bush first was sworn into office.
Regarding the all-important federal courts, heres a synopsis of whats been accomplished:
1) SCOTUS
John Roberts and Sam Alito.
I love it.
2) Federal Appeals Courts
Thus far a grand total of forty (40) of President Bushs nominees to federal appeals courts have been confirmed. That does not include John Roberts prior confirmation to the D.C. Circuit or DHS Secretary Chertoffs former seat on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals.
Among the more noteworthy of these jurists:
Janice Rogers Brown and Thomas Griffith of the D.C. Circuit (who give conservatives a solid and lasting majority on the countrys second-most-important court),
Priscilla Owen of the 5th Circuit (a Sunday school teacher whos so feared by the far left they forced their Senate puppets to filibuster her nomination back when Tom . . . um, Tom D . . . . er, Tom Dash . . . well, you know, was running that caucus),
William Pryor of the 11th Circuit (if Giuliani also was a social conservative, hed be just like Judge Pryor),
Michael McConnell of the 10th Circuit (one of the more intellectually-gifted judges in memory),
Mike Fisher of the 3rd Circuit (a brass-knuckled former state attorney general),
Richard Wesley of the 2nd Circuit (once a conservative state legislator),
Steven Colloton of the 8th Circuit (a former prosecutor who worked under Ken Starr during the Whitewater period).
There are still nearly three full years remaining in this presidency.
As alluded to above, the GOP Senate has been confirming on average eight appeals court judges per year.
Republicans and conservatives already control the vast majority of the federal appeals courts.
3) District Courts
Over 150 of Prez Bushs trial judges have been confirmed.

Elections *do* matter, Buchanan.
Try to keep that in mind when Nov. 2008 rolls around."

Glad to see you came to the party!
He has such a sweet smile. Did you see the Republican senators speak today? Some stupid reporter asked if Justice Alito should skip the SOTU to show his independence. And Specter said, "I think he should do whatever he damn well pleases." Lol! Sometimes Specter surprises me.
Welcome, wouldnt! (Love your screenname!)
Lynn Woosley a Rep from Ca.......we both know what she plans to do....
When the pictures from the SOTU start rolling in, I'll get them posted.
I noticed that. I saw the thread at #8 but I don't type that fast.
Will Reid, Pelosi, and the Duke of Chappaquiddick, the Senate's only Olympic class swimmer, sit on their hands tonight? Consistency between words and actions would seem to so dictate. No man as evil as they have proclaimed President Bush to be should merit their applause.
What time is the SOTU speech be?
(I've been smiling ALL day!)
They're all such GROWN-UPs......doncha know??
Okay ... but I'm starrrring to slur my peach ...
;)
Smiling and celebrating!
