Cops to President Bush: Stop the Invasion of Illegal Aliens
Sierra Times ^ | 1/31/2006 | Jim Kouri, CPP

Posted on 01/31/2006 4:47:07 AM PST by FerdieMurphy

During the last presidential campaign cycle, many national and local police organizations, as well as individual officers and commanders, supported the reelection of George W. Bush. Commanders and rank-and-file officers understood the fact that compared to the alternatives, Bush was the right man to serve as Commander-in-Chief in wartime.

For instance, the nation's largest organization, National Fraternal Order of Police -- representing over 350,000 officers -- endorsed Bush, as did many local organizations such as the New York Police Department's Police Benevolent Association, Detectives Endowment Association and others.

But now there's increasing disenchantment with President Bush on his handling of illegal immigration and border security. More and more police agencies find themselves engulfed in crimes being committed by illegal aliens. Mexican nationals dressed in military uniforms are coming into the United States while they protect drug and human traffickers and yet our leaders in Washington a best offer lip-service, at worst ignore the problem not wishing to alienate a perceived voting block.

"The problem has gotten worse and worse each year and the only people debating the subject [of illegal immigration] are American citizens. The politicians -- local, state and federal -- ignore the will of the people," says one police chief who's mayor is pro-open borders.

Let's examine a recent complaint by one law enforcement commander, who is a Mexican-American himself:

Zapatas County, TX Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez says that the Mexico-US border problem is worsening. Sheriff Gonzalez said that Mexican troops, or those dressed in Mexican Army uniforms, continue to illegally enter the US on a regular basis.

Gonzales provides accounts of gunfire on the Mexico-US Texas border areas, on both Sunday and Tuesday, which even extended into residential areas. Gonzales said that individuals dressed in Battle Dress Uniforms (BDUs) and carrying automatic weapons were becoming a dangerous and escalating problem.

Gonzales also confirms that terrorist training camps (including those for the terror-gang MS-13) are active just South of Brownsville, TX in Mexico, something that been long believed by many police and security executives.

Yet, Sheriff Gonzales's pleas are being ignored by the mainstream news media and political leaders. When CBS News' 60 Minutes recently did a story on illegal immigration, the segment, hosted by Ed Bradley, was more propaganda than information. It was all emotion as opposed to being fact filled. And it was pro-illegal immigration.

According to US Customs and Border Protection agents, there have been 231 such incursions since 1996, an average of more than 28 per year. In addition, there have been cases of Middle Eastern men from terrorism-sponsoring nations gaining entry from Mexico into the US. Illegal aliens also commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime, including murder, sex crime against children and armed robbery.

In one study of a sample 55,000 illegal immigrants serving prison sentences in the US, it was discovered that they are responsible for over 400,000 arrests and over 700,000 felony crimes. In Los Angeles, 95 percent of the outstanding arrest warrants for homicide are for illegal aliens, with 65 percent of the overall arrest warrants are for illegals.

This is a widespread problem and will eventually lead to more crime and violence. How can the President of the United States allow a foreign soldiers on US soil who are carrying automatic firearms? Where are the so-called gun control advocates in congress who wish to disarm American citizens? Are they not concerned with foreign nationals entering the country armed to the teeth? US police departments are outgunned and outmanned and no one save a few congressmen are displaying any concern.

Fox & Friends just aired a story about a sheriff in Ohio who is billing the Feds for the cost of illegal immigrants in his county.

There is a thread about this over here:

we may see the Republican party split into two camps; those that favor global socialism (the New World Order) and those who favor conservative nationalism (want to seal the border and respect national sovereignty)

Most long time GOP members DEFINITELY are in the second camp. What a shame that this so-called Republican president isn't with us.

So when do they deport the illegals, patrol the border, and build the wall?

Whenever it is, it won't be soon enough.

That poster may be thinking that it will take 3 generations to get the current immigrant population assimilated into the American social culture.

That isn't happening now...

Consider it done. I've received yet another letter from the RNC asking for money (when will they get the hint! The more I say 'no', the more letters I get!). I make it very clear that they will get no more money and no more votes until illegal immigration is stopped.

Ok, here's my pat response that I print out each time I get asked for money for the Republics. I don't think it's strong enough because each time I send them, I get back even more requests for money. Any help beefing it up would be appreciated. (I did want to keep it short and sweet so it would actually be read and the message understood.)

Dear RNC,

I will not be supporting the Republican Party any more, either financially or with my vote, until you start demanding that the already existing illegal immigration laws be enforced.

I am, instead, sending any money I would have contributed to you to the Minutemen Project. They are the patriots who have the courage and conviction to do what our current administration refuses to do.

Sincerely,
me

ps. And I am waiting for President Bush to issue an apology to the Minutemen for calling these heroes 'vigilantes'.

I'm really puzzled at the lack of action by our current admin.

Just doing that "nation building" he said he would never do. Right here at home - the "new America" is on its way.

We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.

For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.

George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.

You can read the speech here.

Here is a good critique of that speech:

In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. "So...how is it that we can count them but we can't scoop them up and send them back?"

Simple! It's those age-old bureaucratic mantras "there's nothing we can do" or "our hands are tied" or even "it's not within our job". Their damn hands certainly aren't tied when they grab their paycheck are they?

Actually the article is correct. It's Battle Dress Uniform.

I had never heard them called Battle Dress Uniform before. Rather than argue with you, I looked it up at this site. Both "Uniform" and "Utility" are listed. I learned something new today. Thank you.

It seems that the city council of Los Angeles has opposite wierd illegal immigration views.

Read this article: LA City Council to Minutemen: Go Home! by Leslie Radford Friday, Feb. 03, 2006, LA Times

In a stinging denunciation, the L.A. City Council goes on record against the Minutemen and Save Our State, but ices out the farmers. The Council moved Item No. 7 to second position on the agenda, effectively declaring it a consent item. The Council resolved to "include in the City’s 2005-06 State and Federal Legislative Program, SUPPORT of State or Federal Legislation denouncing and prohibiting the vigilante actions of individuals against immigrants along the border and within urban communities and enact immigration reform leading towards a path of permanent status for immigrants here now and wider legal channels for those coming in the future."

Apparently anticipating unanimous consent, Council President Eric Garcetti asked scheduled public speakers, all in support, to forego their comments. Without opposition from the council or the public, the vote was 10-0, with Ed Reyes (1st District), Dennis Zine (3rd District), Tom LaBonge (4th District), Jack Weiss, (5th District), Alex Padilla (7th District), Herb Wesson (10th District), Bill Rosendahl (11th District) Greig Smith (12th District), and Janice Hahn (15th District) present and voting in favor.++++
