The two scariest words in the English language? Intelligent Design! That phrase tends to produce a nasty rash and night sweats among our elitist class.
Should some impressionable teenager ever hear those words from a public school teacher, we are led to believe, that student may embrace a secular heresy: that some intelligent force or energy, maybe even a god, rather than Darwinian blind chance, has been responsible for the gazillions of magnificently designed life forms that populate our privileged planet.
Seriously, there is a convention in these debates that you don't make assertions that you cannot justify, so you have to be pretty careful about what you claim, or be very ready to back down and apologise (and not place yourself in positions where you have to do that too often). Otherwise you are just making you, and by implication your religion, look shifty and dishonest. I am ready at all times to have any claim that I make shot down in flames, and I'll readily apologise to anyone who can show that I have posted innaccurately. Usually when that happens I've learned something, which is good, and apologising when in the wrong is good for the soul.
Look - what ever I say to you about my religion, my beliefs, my thoughts on evolution don't make a bit of difference. It's just entertainment. As I said - you guys win. You have the courts on your side, the atheist promoters on your side, the ACLU on your side so why do you care what anyone on here has to say?
Don't worry - America will soon be like Europe. Of course, the Muslims will eventually control what is learned in high school so you may not have such an easy time with them. They don't fight nearly as fair as Christians.
I just dislike dishonesty, that's all. That's why it matters to me.
Also take note, in her post #1135, mlc9852, cannot but help spread another one of her little white lies, that "You and the rest of the atheists are winning so what's the point?"...these are her exact words taken from her own post..tho she has been told, time and time again, on just about every evo/crevo thread that exists, that in real life, as on FR, most people who support evolution, also consider themselves as people of faith, mostly the Christian faith...why is it that mlc9852, absolutely refuses to take another posters word for that?...is it because she cannot accept that others believe the Bible in a way contrary to her own beliefs?...who knows...
But one thing is for sure, she will continue to insist that all who support evolution, just have to be atheists...this, in my mind, allows her to have her beliefs on a steady ground...she must try to discredit anyone she can who disagrees with her, and she does it on lies....very,very dishonest, for one who claims to believe in the Bible...
The last time mlc9852 tried to discuss this matter with me, she just called me rude, and ran off...and why was I rude...because every time I asked her a question, she replied with a different question...I told her what I thought of that method of discussion....that answering my questions with other questions was not a way to have a worthy discussion...for that I was called rude...I hardly call it rude, when discussing with someone, when you ask a question to expect an answer...that is not rude...that is purely common sense and logical...
And so she called me rude, and ran off....
I find it interesting to discuss evolution, ID, and creationism, and see others differing views...its just all very interesting to me...but discussion is almost impossible if one if going to answer questions, with only more questions, and make up lies about other posters...good, honest debate, with claims supported by facts, are enlightening for everyone...
For the last final time, mlc9852, your opinion that all who support evolution have to be atheists, is just that...your opinion...its not a fact, as is witnessed in real life, and on FR....most who support evolution, do believe in the very same Bible, you claim to believe in...our interpretations may differ tho...calling one an atheist because their Biblical interpretation is different from yours, is something I would not think of as being a 'Christian' thing to do...yet you continue to do it...sad...
There are different creationist/ID supporters, who do hold interesting discussions and conversations with those who support evolution...and those discussion are worthwhile...
Yes, mlc9852, now I suppose you will call me rude again...so be it...your definitions of rude, are made up to suit your personal agenda at the time...if my asking questions, and expecting answers in return, is rude(according to your own subjective definition of the word 'rude'), then yes, I am rude...I will openly admit it...
"yes, I am rude...I will openly admit it..."
No argument here but I don't care. Evolutionists have their own agenda, just as the homosexuals, the Muslims, etc.
Christians are on the bottom in this country. Schools can celebrate any holiday, just so long as it isn't a Christian holiday. The atheists got prayer and the Bible out of school and they will work to keep any mention of God, creator, etc. out as well. You all must be very proud of yourselves.
I just wonder how much longer some of us will continue to bother to vote?
There you go again...showing your true agenda...you just insist that anyone who supports evolution, who does not want religion taught in public schools, just has to be an atheist...you sure do have a narrow view of the world...
And what a sad pathetic statement to make...you wonder if people will continue to vote?...of course they will, they wont simper and whine like you do...
Christians are not on the bottom, much as you would like to believe differently, to somehow feed into your delusion, that you are being picked on....
I live in Washington State, where I am sure, you and other Freepers would love to believe that God and Christians are picked on...let me tell you, within 10 minutes drive from my house(and I live in the boonies, not a big city), there are at least 15-20 different Christian churches, that are packed on Sundays...Freedom of religion is thriving...
You are the one with the agenda....you want everyone to believe the Bible, the way you do, and that includes not supporting evolution...if they dont believe your way, then by golly, they must be atheists...that is just so sad...
What if she were an ape?
I didn't start the evolution/atheist connection - just pointed it out.
Nice try....but your posts dont show that...you continue to state things to suit your own agenda....and you dont care that you have been corrected time and time again...
Nice try...but it wont work...
I love your tagline...it is quite appropriate at this stage of the thread...
Might explain why she couldn't stay away from the fruit, and why even today chimpanzees show innate fear of snakes.

Again, your document dumps are tedious.
Then don't read them. You don't anyway, so quit whining.
You are never able to keep on point.
Hold that thought, then let's look at your next sentence:
Perhaps you could begin by defining the terms transitional form and intermediate form.
HEY, STUPID! YEAH, I'M TALKING TO YOU!
Your folly is breathtaking. You whimper that I'm "never able to keep on point", and yet you then immediately turn around and ask a question THAT WAS ALREADY ANSWERED IN THE MATERIAL I POSTED. The material WAS DIRECTLY ON POINT, as shown by the fact that it SPECIFICALLY COVERED THE SUBJECT YOU ASK ABOUT.
You were just too busy whining to *LOOK* at the material and try to learn anything from it. You're more interesting in bitching about how I give you too *much* information as a lame excuse for not actually *looking* at it. You're more interested in your sophistry about what label to call it than in seeing what the evidence tells us, and how we validate our conclusions.
In short, you're a typical anti-evolution creationist, working hard to protect his beliefs from coming into contact with any knowledge that might challenge them.
Begone, fool. You add nothing of value to the discussion, and are stubbornly unwilling to learn from it yourself.

Here's but one. It would be silly for me to waste my time posting more as I am sure you know how to retreive them just as I do.
But I'm sure you see the name-calling.
You know, the name calling occurs on all sides of the issue...that just seems to be a given...the crevos, the evos, the IDers, all seem to give and take on the namecalling....I dont care for it, but I see it, from ALL sides, no one can claim innocence here...
What really irks me is 'misspeaking', which is the euphemistic way of saying 'lying'...when someone states something that is untrue, and they are called on it, yet they continue to spread that untruth around, that is beneath contempt..
Namecalling is one thing that is going to happen on these threads no matter what...it comes from ALL sides....
Misspeaking(lying) on purpose, is quite another thing...
I would ask when I have lied on here, but what's the point? Opinions are not lies.
And I find it surprising that you defend the atheists on here.
I am not defending any atheist(you do love to make things up, dont you?), concerning their atheism...unlike you, I dont need to know of people, if they are Christian, or atheist, or Buddhist, or whatever...what I cannot fathom, is why you think that the question of faith, is somehow tied to evolution...
You lie, or misspeak, when you try to intimate that those who support evolution are also atheistst....that is not the same as stating your opinion...you state your opinions as if they were facts, which they certainly are not...you have been told by me, and by many other Christians that you are completely wrong, yet you completely avoid or negate what we say, and continue to say that those who support evolution are atheists...you just cannot let go of that, and you need to be called on it...and yes, you do that, time and again...
Do you honestly believe that anyone who supports evolution is an atheist?...because you say it often enough...after being told you are wrong, you still continue to say it...
No matter what you chose to believe, most people who support evolution on these threads, also consider themselves to be Christians...you just ignore that tho, choosing to believe something else...I will gladly ping PatrickHenry to delve into his ping list, he has accumulated more info on the evo posters, and he himself, has stated that most of those on his ping evo list, consider themselves Christian, with about 3-5 percent considering themselves to be atheists...you dont seem to like those statistics, and thus you chose to ignore them, and continue to call those who support evolution, as atheists...which is a fine example of misspeaking...
They are johnny-one-notes and Asberger-obsessives...and a good way to avoid them is to enjoy all the other interesting FR conservative arguments going on that do not concern evolution. But they tend to be nasty little Girley-Men bullies, so it's a kindness to warn other freepers who might get caught up in their IM-coordinated two-minute gangups.
I've noticed that lately they stick mostly to talking to themselves, which is a kindness. I wonder why it has to be a public chat, though? They need an audience for their high-five parties? Then again, It probably gets lonely herding sheep up on that mountain.
Yep--Those Who Must Not Be Spoken To. I've repeatedly asked the ones who claim that they can't be addressed directly in a FR coversation on pain of banishment, to find some way to identify themselves--maybe with a tagline, "You're not allowed to speak to me," or some such.
Or perhaps the Ones Who May Not Speak to Those Who Must Not Be Spoken To can put together a database/spreadsheet for FR. It'd be interesting to see who is not allowed to speak, and who is not required to suffer to be spoken to.
Makes one think of Queens--Victoria and Elizabeth, that is--not to mention the Queen of Hearts.
