Didn't we learn last August/September why we shouldn't build housing below sea level? This is ridiculous! Why can't we build homes in any of the various "green space" in the San Francisco area? Whenever you hear "glacier are decreasing in X" question whether they're increasing in "Y".

Badly written article, similar to the 'science' employed.

In one paragraph the writer refers to polar ice sheets, in another only to Greenland, and in yet another to both polar regions.

Yes, it is true that the ice caps on Greenland and on Antartica are thickening at a fairly rapid pace. IMHO, that is what is causing glaciers in Antartica to accelerate to the sea, and breaking up the attendant sea ice sheets in the process.
