(PRWEB) - Duluth, MN (PRWEB) January 30, 2006 -- A group of distinguished experts and scholars, including Robert M. Bowman, James H. Fetzer, Wayne Madsen, John McMurtry, Morgan Reynolds, and Andreas von Buelow, have concluded that senior government officials have covered up crucial facts about what really happened on 9/11.
They have joined with others in common cause as members of "Scholars for 9/11 Truth" (S9/11T), because they are convinced, based on their own research, that the administration has been deceiving the nation about critical events in New York and Washington, D.C.
These experts suggest these events may have been orchestrated by elements within the administration to manipulate Americans into supporting policies at home and abroad they would never have condoned absent "another Pearl Harbor."
They believe that this White House is incapable of investigating itself and hope the possibility that Congress might hold an unaccountable administration accountable is not merely naive or wishful thinking.

the great thing about the original article is that one of the "distinguished experts and scholars" listed in the first paragraph (Fetzer) wrote the article.
i guess he should know if he is distinguished or not.

Two points.
First, people who point at the "lack of wreckage" really need to look at
photos like this one. This is a classic example of what a fuel fire can do to an aircraft. Remember, they're made of thin aluminum, with aluminum spars and lots of plastic. If you have a fuel driven fire onboard, there's very little on the plane capable of surviving it. The half of the photo plane that DID survive only did so because this plane ignited on the runway and the fire department was immediately on scene to foam the plane down.
Now look at that photo and realize a few things. The plane that hit the Pentagon was traveling at high speed, so it would have been compressed into a much smaller area and burned faster. Also, the plane would have been cooked in not only its own fuel, but the fuel from the collapsed building around it (the Pentagon has a concrete outer structure, but there's lots of wood inside). Finally, understand that the plane in that photo only burned for a half hour or so before the firefighters had it completely out. The fire in the Pentagon burned for HOURS.
There really is no mystery about the plane that hit the Pentagon except in the minds of people who want to create one. Simple physics says that objects traveling in a straight line keep doing so, and the aircraft was traveling in a line that lead into the building...so all the parts went into the building. A few small pieces that broke off during the ground impact did in fact bounce clear of the building, but most went inside. The upper levels of the building collapsed onto the wreckage below, and the whole thing cooked until there was nothing left.
If you really want to test this theory for yourself, toss an empty soda can into a burning fire pit sometime and dig through the ashes a day later to find some trace of it. You may find a few small chunks where the thicker pieces were, but most of the can will be reduced to slag or be completely vaporized. That's fairly consistent with what was found at the Pentagon.
My second point is about cellphones. A couple months ago I was flying from LA to Sacramento at about 20k feet when I looked out and realized that my jet (757) was going to fly over Modesto. I pulled my cellphone out of my pocket, called my house, and had my kids run outside to watch dad fly waaaay overhead. Unfortunately they never did spot the plane, but my cell phone worked JUST FINE.

Well, I guess I'm the twit today. I did not know that. It's okay, I wouldn't have known it either if I hadn't spent four years passing through it every single day.
At some point, they put in these giant sliding doors all through the place to serve as fireblocks; I've never seen anything like them anywhere else, but it was fun to slide them into place and confuse freshmen looking for their classrooms only to find a dead end halfway down the hall. :)

These people can not deal with the world as it exists.
It is becoming incredibly weird.

Uh, huh. Liberals in denial. Another reason why liberals should NEVER be in charge of the security of our country.
BTW, thanks BJ for the fine job of tracking down OB. Liberal a-holes.

All those are excellent points. I wouldn't argue most of what went into the Pentagon would have burned until almost nothing was recognizable, if anything at all. I just would have expected more debris outside on the grounds and not understanding the strength of the building, would have expected a more gaping hole. Maybe pictures are misleading. I did dismiss that French author as an anti-American kook.
Thanks for the story about the cell phone. I talked to the kids on the train which was amazing considering the era in which I grew up (you didn't make long distance calls unless absolutely necessary and there was often a lot of interference/static on the line). How things have changed!
Of course cell phones from a plane are not the same as from a train. Too bad the kids couldn't spot your plane! If they are high, they are hard to see; all you see is that narrow jet trail tracing a straight line in the sky. Very mysterious :-).
I'm keeping an open, I hope, mind to all of this and hope that in time I get a better understanding of it and answers to about less than five questions I'm not satisfied about, partly because I haven't kept up with it. Also, I *know* that after a disaster, the networks do make mistakes, usually not intentional. Sometimes though I think they are told to shut up already. I saw with my own eyes the first reports about Flight 800 and people on the ground describing something climbing upward; I know that I did not imagine that.

But it's not just the Left that believes this crap. There are a lot of conspiracy theorists on our side of the fence too, and they also believe it.

The BBC has reported that at least five of the nineteen alleged "hijackers" have turned up alive and well living in Saudi Arabia, yet according to the FBI, they were among those killed in the attacks. How is this possible? That's an easy one. The terrorists, or some of them, stole the identities of other men. Incidentally, that means that they did not enter the U.S. legally, as has sometimes been reported.
