Dean is crazy, but is he this stupid? I don't think so. I bet he wants the DNC coffers to be empty. This way, the candidates will be dependent upon the 527's who are all firmly in Dean's kook camp. Voila, Dean has control of the party.

Seems to me that Dean got his present position by promising the $ raised would go to the states instead of to congressional candidates. I don't hear anybody from the state delegations bitching, so it seems to me Dean just kept his words and has bribed everyone who voted for him as promised.

Maybe the money went to pay for Kerry's ski trips. :)

According to wiki, FWIW, the DNC's treasurer is Andrew Tobias.
If so, I think Mr. Tobias has some splainin' to do.

This is bad news! Very bad news! What if they replace him with someone who is competent?

NOOOoo! Dean did not waste the money. The Dems just needed a story to get rid of him because he's a wack job. And too bad, because I like the little fella. He was a gift indeed.

Is this all a Hillary coup coming soon for '08?
To: slowhand520
I'm sure that the money was "properly" used, for instance, to pay down the national deficit.

Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill are privately bristling over Howard Deans management of the Democratic National Committee and have made those sentiments clear after new fundraising numbers showed he has spent nearly all the committees cash and has little left to support their efforts to gain seats this cycle, ROLL CALL reports. Whatever we are paying Dean, it isn't enough! This guy is the best mole we've ever had inside the Democratic Party!

I do believe many tried to tell these socialists that Dean was a psycho. That is the funny part. They knew what Dean was before they made him the DNC chair. The guy is off his rocker. They also knew some republicans voted for him in primaries and pumped cash into his campaign early on. It is like they wanted us to pick their DNC chairman. I hope Dean stays the DNC chairman forever.

They will hit the unions up for donations soon. I have a feeling that Ford and GM employees aren't going to be feeling partiularly generous.
