Specter was tough .. surpringly .. and he's being treated for brain cancer and had radiation and chemo, I think. Gotta admire his grit in this ... he hasn't whined or called in sick for any important Judiciary Comm. meetings of which I'm aware. He's been a stand-up guy ... if only under constant threats and reminders from "higher ups."

Specter was tough .. surpringly .. I think he genuinely got his back up when Kennedy tried to hijack the Judiciary Committee during the hearings. Never a good idea to hack off the committee chair.
Poor Teddy, I think his mouth finally bought him a bottle of booze that his ass couldn't drink.
