Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...
Hi, what did I miss? I got called into work.
Sounds like a perfect democrat "frillybuster". All frills and no engine.
Pretty much describes every liberal democrat on the planet.
Thanks. That is reassuring but we cannot relax on this until the votes are counted. Wish our guys fought even 1/10th as hard for us as the Dems fight to prevent anything from going forward
But but ... one of my favorite threads at the D-kos has to be this one ... LOL!!

Dean is the gift that keeps on giving, for sure.
Re your #45 -
"...We can't do any better in Rhode Island."
Alas; it's the same up here in Maine, with our 2 infamous RINOs.
Sen. Susan Collins, much to her credit (I actually find myself rather liking her on the odd occasion) has already announced that she's pro-Alito, despite her solidly pro-abortion ideology.
Every now and then she likes to throw us right-leaning Pubbies a bone by doing something right.
Olympia Snowe, on the other hand, was still hiding her cards under the table the last I knew.
Since her pivotal, if not "Sacred" issue of abortion "rights" is seen to be at stake, I would not bet much change on her voting to confirm... or even for cloture, for that matter, if it comes down to that.
Unless, of course, it's a done deal regardless of her vote, at which point she might pretend to be a Republican and vote with the Party ... again, to throw them - and us - a political bone to keep us occupied for a while.
At least untill November, when she's up for re-election.
That's probably why she isn't going to committ either way untill she can tell with certainty how close it's going to be.
We may not know which way she goes until the votes are actually counted and announced.
Do we have any other RINOS who are refusing to committ for or against at this point?
That may be why.
And I fully expect the Commiocrats to do whatever they can to obstruct and delay Judge Alito's confirmation, even if they are resigned to not being able to Bork him completely somehow.
They are utterly desperate, IMHO, and we might expect that no options are currently off of their table.
I hope that the Alito's have a good security system, BTW.
Remember; Ft. Gacey Park isn't that far away.
And it might not be a bad idea for us to remember them in our prayers.
Aw, come on, ignore playground etiquette and go straight for the nuclear triple dog dare!
"Ahhh, 39 across. Mr. President. 4-letter Yiddish word for "Bedbug"."
Vonce? But that is 5 letters.
Thanks for the link.
true. maybe I need more coffee. yeah, that's it! more coffee!
How much ya wanna beat none of Hellary's money went to the DNC??
Maybe Dean needs to start charging John Conyers rent the next time he stages one of his phony "committee hearings" at DNC headquarters.
Just like they did after the "Gang of Fourteen" averted the Nuclear option. As I said the next day on Rush: they saved the filibuster only if they promise not to use the filibuster. Let them think they won, we know the difference.
HAAAA! Thank you for reading the Daily Scum so I do not have too! You are a GREAT American!
Keep that cowbell coming Ali! we'll need more of it today! ;>)
Mayor Stephen Laffey

Don't worry, Soros will come through for the Rats. The announcement about the lack of funds is probably just a threat to keep all the Rats aboard ship.
There was talk yesterday of Harry Reid resigning his leadership post over connections to Abramoff.
Bill Kristol reporting that Kerry's own staff and senior democrats advised against filibuster but Kerry felt the need to out left Gore
Great tagline
Maybe they did
Bectcha Hellary's money she raised didn't go to the DNC
