Good Monday morning, fellow Freeper political junkies. One of the more ridiculous episodes of political theater is about to play itself out on the Senate floor, as the John Kerry-led democrats mount an exercise in political futility which will further expose their total irrelevance..So join us today, or drop in on occasion, for the festivities...

The Royal family changed their name to House of Windsor in the first world war. The Battenburg-Mountbatten family was a cousin family of the Windsors.

"Are they now claiming that they haven't had enough time?"

Yes, and you will never guess who did that.

Uncle Ted sure wasted his time glossing over boilerplate leftist doom-n-gloom subjects.

Not according to those at DU and KOS. They were cheering him wildly when he spoke.

I fully understand the New England wishy-washy GOP. They're the best they can elect.

I think it's deplorable, but I must say, that I put NJ and Delaware in the politically beyond hope column too.

NJ elected that Corrizne! Good by, NJ.

Are they now claiming that they haven't had enough time?

Seems that way. It's clear the Democrats have been stalling throughout this whole debate, meandering upon a bunch of irrelevant subject matter.

Sean seems to be giving the impression that the Dems ARE filibustering.

One can spin the rhetoric that way, I suppose. But the Senators and conventional lexicon has been that a failed cloture motion represents a clear mark that equals "filibuster is here."

If and when the cloture vote is held, today at 4:30, and if the AYEs number less than 60 (they won't), THEN there will be agreement by all - the filibuster will be on.

I say "if" on the cloture vote being held, only to admit the possibility that the DEMs will outright cave, and decide they don't want to have a cloture vote - and they agree to vote on the nominee tomorrow morning, as scheduled.
