Bolger is a gentleman to be surepolished and articulatebut like a Patton, he is always leading from the front. He regularly goes out on combat operations with his men, and like the fictional General Maximus in the movie Gladiator, the real-life fighting General Bolger inspires his subordinates with the salutation, Strength and Honor! ... In an exclusive two-part interview with Townhall.com, Bolger discusses the training and standing-up of the new Iraqi army and what motivates the Iraqis to fight. He also explains why Iraq is not devolving into civil war, and how we are systematically quashing the insurgency in that country.

But..but...but...Mother Sheehan has promised us that these "people" only want to live their lives in peace. [osmium-heavy sarcasm]

Great post SQ
Ooooops. Telling the truth about Iraq.
That can get you in trouble.
Even with some FReepers.
Great interview!
That was a real nice interview.
I have long been saying there is no civil war in Iraq and how the media is distorting things to appear much darker than they really are. I talk about the amazing progress being made here.
I've had people tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. People on FR even.
I always enjoy seeing my same observations on Iraq validated by others in the field. ;-)
So you're saying some Freepers think the war in Iraq's gone badly? Despite all the evidence to the contrary?
Well color me :O
Oh, yes, I've had a few of them completely dispute what I report and try to convince me that it's unwinnable, it's a quagmire, blah, blah, blah... (Mike knows who some of them are.)
I had one FReeper (yeah, this still cracks me up) tell me my "vision of it is skewed" because I'm here. He was serious.
I guess what he meant was that I don't watch enough CNN to be really informed about it all.
Oh yeah I've got a list of those that think the Iraq war isn't going well, or we are being too PC or whatever their pet peeve is this week...
Honestly, 99.999% of it boils down to ignorance of the situation and believing whatever the MSM feeds them.
For the other .001%, it's a personal thing that they just don't like the President.
