Kick Me, I'm a Democrat (sniff, sniff, have Kleenex handy)
Slate ^ | Jan. 29, 2006 | Michael Kinsley

Posted on 01/30/2006 12:09:50 AM PST by Lorianne

It seems to be time once again to play Kick the Democrats. Everyone can play, including Democrats. The rules are simple. When Republicans lose elections, it is because they didn't get enough votes. When Democrats lose elections, it is because they have lost their principles and lost their way. Or they have kept their principles, which is an even worse mistake.

Democrats represent no one who is not actually waiting in line for a latte at a Starbucks within 150 yards of the east or west coastline. They are mired in trivial lifestyle issues like, oh, abortion and gay rights and Americans killing and dying in Iraq, while the Republicans serve up meat and potatoes for real Americans, like privatizing Social Security and making damned sure the government knows who is Googling whom in this great country. Just repeat these formulas until a Democrat has been sent into frenzies of self-flagellation, or reduced to tears.

There is always a pick-up game of Kick the Democrats going on somewhere. But something about the Alito confirmation—the pathetic and apparently surprising inability of 45 Democratic senators to stop 55 Republicans from approving anyone they want—seems to have made the game suddenly a lot more popular.

Kinslips is walking proof that you don't need talent to have a job in the Stone Age Press.

Where do I get in line to kick Michael Kinsley? Do you think anyone would notice if I went back to the end of the line 4 or 5 hundred times afterwards? Can I continue to kick him while he's down?

Mark

"The Democrats oppose any Social Security reform simply because a Republican proposes the reform. They know, as most Americans know, that Social Security as it stands today is broken, and if not changed will result in a bigger mess later.".......the corrolary of this always is that dems love our misery...which is where they see their opportunity.

Crystal clear evaluation of the losers!!

One of my favorite things to do to democrats (have one or two by bloodline in family...the rest of wonder what happened) is when some idiot, like Alan Combs is on, to ask them to justify such B.S. from their party members. When they actually hear how stupid their members are, a hush comes over them. It's even worked in getting them away from the slime and pulling the voter handle in the booth for Republicans.

MS doesn't shut the brain down, just listen to Neil Cavuto's analysis, and his great commentary on issues, and you know I'm right.

I never said it shut down the brain. I was responding to the comment about his odd "stare", as the poster thought it was Parkinsons. I was just letting the poster know that Kinsey has MS, which can result in having an odd stare.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winnah...

"The American people would simply love living in a Euro-style, secular socialist welfare state if they would only vote to let us Democrats give them one." - - What Democrats truly believe.

After the 2000 election, Saturday night live did a hysterical skit showing protestors from the left protesting Bush and the election results. The protest started off sounding vaguely cohesive....and then broke down with the various groups shouting their own pet peeve slogans "save the baby whales", the environment, protect the homeless...blah, blah, blah...

No message...and nothing has changed.
