NRA 'no-retreat' gun plan stirs up fight in Wyoming

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — In the "Cowboy State," where guns are present in more than half of all homes, an unlikely battleground is forming in the fight over the appropriate use of firearms.

Flush with victory in its push for state laws allowing concealed handguns, the National Rifle Association is lobbying lawmakers here and in 11 other states, including Arizona, to make it easier for people to defend themselves with deadly force.

The NRA, backed by a growing membership of about 4 million, wants legislation specifying that people have no duty to retreat from an attacker before using deadly force. About half of all states have similar rules on the books.

I would sure like to see that written into Maryland law. It's about time.

With this law in mind, maybe people will become more courteous to one another.

DUmmies try to make it sound like you are guilty of manslaughter to protect yourself.

The funny thing is, these DUmmies keep harping about the evils of guns until something happens to them and then guess what? They all of a sudden have a CCW, and a big old pistol in their waistband. Then it becomes the old "Do as I say, not as I do".

People have always told me the prime requirement for employment at the Brady Center was being a damned liar.

Every time, I see and hear another performance by the folks at the Brady Center (that includes the Brady's), I become more convinced that claim is correct.

Why should that be odd?

James Brady, the former press secretary

Translated, that means paid scammer, spinner, evader, and liar, regardless of whom they work for. It is how they get the job.

Just to use him.

Hahahahaha. "Red Star" is peeing their pants. They needn't. Our lib dem governor of dubious sexuality will veto it and the press will applaud and fail to report it.

"Remember, Sarah Brady married Jim AFTER he got shot."

It doesn't matter much when Sarah Brady married him: He had to have been really out of touch with reality in the head, to marry her.

How else will Jihai NapaliReno be able to justify the veto if the Arizona RED Star and the Arizona Repugnant don't wet their pants in despair over it.
