Illegal aliens can't get welfare.
Please, do you really think that? How? It's been proven wrong over and over. Read some of the articles, even here on FR. Have an anchor baby, his entire family becomes eligible. Most states won't even ask immigration status. Not PC, you know.
They sure get it here in California where no one can question a person's citizenship status! You would be shocked at the freebies they collect here (paid for by us).
"Illegal aliens can't get welfare."
They sure as hell can and do in California.
I think that they can get benefits of some kind if they give birth to a child here. I work in a grocery store, and a representative with the WIC program said that one doesn't have to be legally in this country to get benefits from this agency. If a woman is here illegally but has a child here, then she is qualified to receive vouchers that will pay for milk, cheese, baby formula, cereal, eggs, etc.. A lot of these gals come in with a boyfriend who no doubt lives with them, but are only able to qualify for the voucher because they state on the application that they are single. This is one of the biggest frauds out there today. Folks are getting food stamps, welfare and WIC in some cases because the gov't thinks that they are single with no means to pay for life's essentials. When I see these women, they are usually accompanied by a very healthy looking man (no rings) who no doubt could get off his dead rear end and take some responsibility.
The waste and fraud just boggles my mind, not to mention how angry I become when I think of how many US tax dollars are being eaten up by these freeloaders.
Illegals can't legally get welfare. Many illegals have false documents so they do get welfare. There are many illegals on government assistance programs.
It doesn't bother an illegal to obtain benefits by breaking the law; they have already broken the law by entering illegally.
Well, they seem to make out pretty well on the dole after they race here to have a high-risk-birth baby that my nurse mom and aunt have to help deliver (on the county's dime) afterwhich doctors and nurses collapse from exhaustion and fear of a lawsuit by a "Se habla espanol" ambulance chaser lawyer.
