The Talk Shows
Sunday, January 29nd, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.; Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind.; Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean; former Commerce Secretary Don Evans.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): President Bush.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.; Dominique Dawes, Olympic gymnast.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : White House counselor Dan Bartlett; Sens. Joseph Biden, D-Del., and Pat Roberts, R-Kan.; former President Carter; former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
Dean saying the quote of the week...I paraphrase
"The difference between Abramoff's contributions to Democrats as opposed to Republicans, the Democrats didn't know the money was directed by Abramoff."
So they can whine all they want but NOTHING will ever change in DC as long as Republicans are so completely gutless about calling THEIR Congress to account for its spendthrift ways.
I suspect it has to do with the audience he is front of typical political spin my PM is brilliant at it.
"What do you think of Katrina Vandenheuvel's comment that the delay in response to Hurricane Katrina by this administration is even more damaging than the failure to find WMDs in Iraq?"
######
Damaging as in people drowning in their own attics, or damaging as in causing a political negative? I bet Katrina the editor is commenting on the latter situation.
Moderate wing?
What Moderate wing? A real moderate wouldn't go along with the nonsense the demo leadership comes up with during a time of war.
The dems should be embarassed of themselves.
According to Ed Kilgore, people need to vote democratic because our "quality of life" is so bad with Bush as president.
Hard to believe Kilgore, with that hair, is a native Georgian, but at least he's representing the more moderate wing of the Demo party, and not the far left fringe.
I wish a caller would ask why the dems call themselves "progressives". Katrina talks about Rush Limbaugh's code words, she should have to admit, "progressive" is code for commie.
Prayers for him and the camera man
roflol! Probably.
Oh now Timmy brings up FISA and says why not obey the law.
Frist says he has constitutional use of force passed by statute and as CIC. He also says FISA may need to be changed.
First, if the President feels he is operating under the law, which many lawyers have said he is and I agree, why would he go to FISA? First, it could set a precedent and tie his or another President's hands in the future, and, as I've pointed out on other threads (I believe on this one as well), FISA has turned down or modified more warrants from the Bush admin than IIRC almost all of the other ones put together. Prior to this Admin, they hadn't refused any and since 2001 they have refused 6 and modified many more.
Exactly :-)!
At least Slick Willie knew how to lie well. Dean can't even do that.
I am not a Frist fan at all. He rambles and seems not to do his homework. He knows the questions he will get and never has a good solid answer.
Obama sounding more and more like Hillary!'s running mate.
----
Agrees with McCain and Specter on FISA.
Dean to English translator:
"Republican's payed a bill."
All of this is so easily refuted. Aaargh.
Any idea when the Pres comes on? Don't suppose anyone can give us a recap of what he says? Got to go back to work now.
More importantly, the courts have ruled in favor of domestic surelliance. It's legal, the Democrats just don't like it when a Republican does it. It's political. The Democrats have yet to explain the thousands of FBI files that "fell" into Hillary's hands, for one.
Guess DUers changed Obama's mind. HE WILL NOW SUPPORT THE FILIBUSTER.
"The difference between Abramoff's contributions to Democrats as opposed to Republicans, the Democrats didn't know the money was directed by Abramoff."
LMAO
