"I found it instructive to know so many of my fellow republicans are most distressed, (or so it seemed from the number of calls), over Bush's big spending."

Which indicates the utterly disgraceful state of Civics education in the USA that they called up to complain to a CONGRESS CRITTER about "Bush's big spending". Simply amazing how the Whine All The Time Choir seems so wholly unable to grasp the concept that CONGRESS spends the money, NOT the Executive.

So they can whine all they want but NOTHING will ever change in DC as long as Republicans are so completely gutless about calling THEIR Congress to account for its spendthrift ways.

^^^^

And yet, one of the CSPAN callers to the Republicans was whining because her electric, heating and health insurance bills were going up. Does she think a) she is alone, and b) that Congress can (or should) change the situation?

Those whining callers must have wanted Bush to use the veto. Can you imagine Bush winning in 04 if he had vetoed his way through his first term?

Katrina's frown line is indicative of the far left liberals, they're just mad as hell about everything, but I don't know how to explain away her unwashed, unkept hair.

Or that white neck.

Good comments at the end of the day the Congress passes the budget not the President.

Yes he can veto but in this present climate with the Dems screaming about Executive power imagine what would happen if he did so.
