In a thoroughly perverse way, the two women
could have a lot in common. Except , from what I
gather, Cindy Sheehan didn't have a real relationship with her son for many years, and for the most part didn't raise him. I could have my facts wrong, but the behavior of Sheehan should be seen in this light if one is to get
any real perspective on her, and the way she symbiotically
uses/agrees to be used by the far Left in their bashing of the Iraq war effort.
I don't like to be presumptuous,or insensitive, but it seems
she suddenly became VERY interested in her son once
he became "A Martyr for the Bush Administration".
At that point she finally CLAIMED her son.
I have a totally Americanized friend who is/was a Christian Palestinian. His family was ferociously persecuted by the IslamoNazis until they were forced to flee to the US. Christian Arabs (once 10% of the West Bank) are now extinct. He has nothing but hatred for Hamas.
The few remaining Arab Christians in the area now live in Israel and are (ironically) protected by the security wall. Incidentally Christian arabs in Haifa are a big homicide bomber target.
