"This is why Bush looks like a phony when it comes to protecting the homeland. Bush wants the money from big business for cheap labor rather than protecting Americans from terrorists, drug dealers, rapists and murderers. This is issue number one for many people. "

Oh cry me a river, anti-capitalist!

No Bush isn't seeking "big money" from "businesses for cheap labor". I'd bet he'd like to eliminate over priced unions from extorting high wages which in turn translate to over priced products. What he wants is to keep wages in line for this kind of work.

What Bush has to get real on is that not everyone sneaking over here is looking for a "better life" and wanting to pay social security to minimize the HUGE bill coming due. While Americans are murdering 48 million babies a year or four thousand babies a day, SOME of the illegals are contributing to our economy and others are paying social security that are legal. THIS is the group he wants, however it must be done legally and they need to be carefully screened and illegals thrown the hell out of here.

Funny how cheap labor, open border types like you, nmh, try to present yourself as uber capitalists when you are really just parasites. Let me tell you how capitalism works. It has this thing called supply and demand. That means that when supply is short for a commodity relative to demand the price rises. For instance, if there is a labor shortage in an area wages rise to attract more workers.

No Bush isn't seeking "big money" from "businesses for cheap labor". I'd bet he'd like to eliminate over priced unions from extorting high wages which in turn translate to over priced products. What he wants is to keep wages in line for this kind of work.

So cheap labor parasites like you use the power of the state to short circuit supply and demand by using non-law enforcement to flood the American labor market to keep wages low. Why is it wrong for the price of labor to rise ? Why is it wrong for American workers to make a good living ? What entitles you to use the power of the state to force American workers to accept only what you wish to pay ?

What cheap labor parasites like you want is to turn America into something like Latin America. An oligarchy where a handful of very rich live behind fortified walls and pay no taxes while masses of people live in cheap labor squalor.

Does anyone actually know the immigration process for Mexicans? I tried to find information on the INS web page but it seemed so complicated. I just want a condensed version of what it actually takes. I would think it they could streamline the process, more Mexicans would want to come here legally. Of course, with a limit set on how many, I suppose there would still be those trying to cross illegally. And I don't think I'm for building a wall. My instinctive reaction is that it is so un-American. Our country is built on immigrants and it just seems wrong to say we want to shut people out. But I guess it would be somewhat of a practical solution, though the Mexicans seem to be good at tunnels! Anyway, I just don't think there is one simplistic solution. It's a complicated problem. Just my two cents.

Then why is Bush refusing to enforce the border security, even though the situation is obvious to the dumbest moron?
