Clinton to support Alito filibuster Says shell join Sen. Kerry in blocking Alitos nomination, putting her at odds with top Democrats
BY GLENN THRUSH WASHINGTON BUREAU
January 27, 2006, 9:41 PM EST
WASHINGTON -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday announced she'll join potential 2008 presidential rival John Kerry in voting to filibuster against Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito, just as top Democratic leaders predicted the effort is likely doomed.
With three Democratic senators pledging support for Alito, the New Jersey conservative seems virtually assured of being confirmed by the full Senate Monday or Tuesday, party leaders predicted Friday. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters in Washington that "everyone knows" Senate Democrats couldn't muster the 40 votes needed to support a last-ditch filibuster.

I know about the heat, we provide it for all above us, lol! The current loon above went out one day, left the faucet running in the kitchen sink, sink was plugged, she was gone all day so by 8:30 an night we had Niagra Falls in the dining room and kitchen. It poured in through the ceiling fan in the dining room which was on, so it was like a windmill; and through the flourescent light on the kitchen ceiling...we were flooded. The dingbat woman upstairs never even apologized.

"History will show that Judge Alito's nomination is the tipping point against constitutionally-based freedoms and protections we cherish as individuals and as a nation," Clinton wrote ............This sentence she will be sorry she wrote.
The Democrats are always proclaiming that Republicans and George Bush are fear mongers, creating a boogey man (war on terror, etc.) Well, what in the world is this if not fear mongering?

My first was the '65 Mustang, then a '68 Firebird, loved that one, then a '70 Ford Fairlane (woah there!), then an '80 Chevy Monte Carlo, then an '85 Buick Skylark, a Ford Tempo, a Mercury Topaz (a life saving vehicle, my husband survived a head-on collision, just broke his tile-laying needed Knee)...I went 6 long yrs. with no car, now I have an '04 Hyundai Sonata. I think that's all of 'em!

my husband and I both had '65 Mustangs, we'd like them back! He sold his to his brother who fixed it up real nice, tear drop hood, crager (sp?) wheels, new paint, the works. He worked at a Ford plant and one night it was stolen out of the parking lot. Then I sold mine to my husband and his brother borrowed it and rolled it! Ah, the good ole days.

I was thinking today, clearly this is no longer the party of Bill Clinton. He would have never let the party get suckered into this position. If they filibuster Alito it is a lose/lose. If they hold off until the next nomination after having given the two white guys a pass is going to be a lose/lose/lose/lose...What makes you think they wouldn't be foolish enough to try to filibuster a Janice Rogers Brown?
lose/lose/lose ---- dumb/dumber/dumbest?

My Australian friend,
She just put another nail into her coffin, and I thank her for yet again showing a true "centrist" stance on the issues.

"'68 Firebird,"
With respect, I thought that Pontiac did not introduce the Firebird until 1969? As in 69 Firebird?
Just asking?
