I didn't vote for they lying scoundrel but this:
"For the current budget, the team recommended a series of immediate steps including a layoff plan, across-the-board salary cuts and a mandated extra vacation week without pay for state workers."
I agree with.
THIS:
"The report suggested expanding the sales tax to cover clothing; tanning, massage, limousine and cable services; and purchases from the Internet, including music and software downloads. If those failed to produce a balance budget, the report said, Corzine should consider a "temporary tax surcharge." "
I don't.
I'll go out of my way to have things I buy over the Internet shipped to an address not in NJ. I wonder about the "cable services" - bet he hates FOX news on cable. That might lock some into liberal mainstream media news channels - ABC. NBC, CBS - get the picture.
NO Demoncrat ever has a "temporary surcharge". EVER.

I can't stand the sight of the Star Ledger. They'll call trying to get me to have it delivered and I'll tell them to put it where the sun doesn't shine. It's a liberal rag not fit for toilet paper.

Forestor said he'd cut property taxes by 30% in three years. I voted for him but I can't tell you he impresses me.

#25 the sad truth is that nothing ever changes in NJ. It just gets more and more corrupt and people keep voting the crooks in. It's exasperating.

NJ must stand fast against taxing the internet. It is the last refuge against government and they must keep their greedy hands off.

I'm here, too, up in heavily Republcian Morris County. Keep the faith, folks. I once was cited for the FreeRepublic "Quote of the Day" (do we still have that?) for the following observation: "The Star-Ledger is so far to the left that I have to retrieve my copy from my neighbor's driveway each morning." I'm from Middlesex county and I remember my coffee spraying all over my monitor when reading it. Great line and so true.

I curious, when all the normal people leave NJ, who will pay the taxes then?

par for the course in NJ. they practically canonized Codey who put us in this debt in the first place along with McSleazy who, for his first, full-year's budget, increased it by 17%. Notice they are proposing no cuts in the many school and social programs. the Abbott districts are killing the NJ taxpayer.

(IMHO, The IVF procedure is immoral & kills many embryos/children and should be outlawed)
