Wow! Good find and thanks for the ping cIc. The "intellectuals" should have a good time "sniffing" away at it. In any case, my contention still holds, these people never got past their school days, ie, "teenagers in suits". The more I observe, the more the little phrase I coined seems to fit.
An excellent read for any that might be students of the human condition.

Why hate Capitalism? I think the word "bourgeois" sums it up. The bourgeois has garnered the hatred from both left (socialists) and right (artists). All the intellectual giants after Adam Smith have leveled their guns at this class. This is because, in the west, most of these intellectuals have come from the bourgeois or middle class... and they want to renounce their sordid origins. The Marxists look at economic reasons (lack of economic and social justice) and the artists look to cultural reasons (philistine character). They all agree to hate this class mercilessly, and for anybody to express their antipathy in argument form means that they are coming dangerously close to being an "intellectual."

Envious of the Gas Station owner?
Buy a gas station, and take the plunge....
Nothing ventured (or risked), nothing gained.
With too many Mfg&Eng jobs lost off shore -- the salaries commanded by Engineers is dropping, while salaries commanded by skilled service folks is increasing..
Too few folks willing to get their hands dirty for a buck, has had a phenomenal effect on the salaries skilled craftsmen can command.
My self employed auto mechanic, today commands and receives a higher hourly rate that I was paying Mech/Elect Engineers with Master Degrees just a few years ago.
Same scenario for the carpenter I hired to help remodel my home, same for the plumber, same for the electrician.....
In my opinion, this is a long overdue and well deserved "correction"...
