THIS is why people pushing for the billion dollar boondoggle of The Fence are going in the wrong direction.

Luckily, we have a President who knows that the fight must take place as far away as possible, and will not let himself get sidetracked.

It's not the length, it's the through put that matters.

No, this is why massive and widespread corruption among government toadies on both sides of the border must be exposed and crushed, starting with our own side(since the federales are a large stationary target any time we wish to admit the facts about the Mexican government.) If this was not a "protected" project, I'll eat all the dirt they moved to dig it.

These frauds would have us believe that sensors which can pick up a tiny earth tremor in China half a world away coudn't pick up the vibrations of the earth-moving equipment needed to carry out this major construction project right under our noses. Sorry, but I don't buy that sh&t for one nanosecond.

How did our federal beaureaucrats and their "High Tech" let this one go under their noses?

Personally I would prefer to see a canal dug from San Diego to the Gulf of Mexico.

Kill 2 birds with one stone, get a replacement for our bought and paid and given away panama canal, plus create a largely effective barrier along the southern border. Too deep to dig under, too wide and dangerous to swim across. Actually would solve 3 things.

Provide water to those wandering in the desert. A bit salty to be sure, but it's still water.

SO THEN, you Don't think...
A WALL AND prosecuting employers hiring illegals would HELP?..

Prosecute employers and most of the illegals will slip BACK across ther border in a year.. AND then build the wall.. There should have a been a wall 30 years ago..

When the "Big Dig" tunnels were first opened under Boston, I took a wrong turn and I saw a sign that said TIJUANA - 3218m.

Maybe that's why the Big Dig ended up being so expensive!

The fence would greatly slow the tide. You don't get nearly the same about of water through a 1/4" line as you do down the Mississippi.

I hope you are smart enough to understand this analogy.

Never underestimate the frustration that a good fence will bring to illegals.

Could there be a similar tunnel somewhere in Iraq full of WMD? Looks like these tunnels are hard to find.

When did we start bombing Mexico City? Not that I'd be against it, at least not in principle...
