US President George W. Bush was correct in saying there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq under the Saddam Hussein two decades-plus murder rule. Recall that numerous Democrats prior to Mr. Bush's election to the Oval Office said the same. Further, many said the same after Mr. Bush moved into the White House.
Now we have proof.
It comes from none other than Hussein's General Georges Sada. The nub of his data is this: Hussein flew WMD into Syria before Operation Iraqi Freedom. They were loaded onto civilian planes with seats removed to make room, so states Hussein's second in command official in Hussein's air force.
"Saddam's Secrets," is the name of his recently released book. There details are exposed, according to The New York Sun's Ira Stoll.
"'There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands,' Mr. Sada said. 'I am confident they were taken over.'"

I wonder why this isn't all over the media?
Sure.
I never had a doubt Saddam hid WMDs up to his fall from power - never.
BUMP!
Another example of the power of the new media. This would NEVER see the light of day without us.

Israel: Syria Used Iran Aid Planes for Arms
By REUTERS
Filed at 9:00 a.m. ET
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli security sources said Friday Syrian planes that flew earthquake relief aid to Iran had returned with weapons for Lebanese Hizbollah guerrillas but Iran dismissed the charge as a ``lie.''
The Dems/MSM followed the same logic with Saddam...they'd rather believe a madman than US or Israeli intelligence.
The dinosaur media has insisted for years that saddam had no WMD.
The question should have always been "WHAT happened to the WMD?" or "WHAT did saddam do with the WMD?"
The left continually demonstrates why they can't be intrusted with the safety of our children and grand children.
until Syria admits to this, or these weapons are found, this story has no legs. I am not saying I do not believe it, but where can this story really go absent a Syrian admission, or a US invasion to find the material?
Or more likely, when Syria and/or Iran use them.
next syria will ship it to iran when we invade syria. of course some of it was sent to dufur Sudan
The press will pay as much attention to this story as they did to the book written by one of Saddam's scientists about the nukes buried in his garden.
So is 60 Minutes going to interview this General in an effort to promote his book?
The Russian KGB officer in charge of transporting the WMD's out of any of the Middle East nations that they sold them to, if they were to be invaded by US or coalition forces, already published an article detailing this 'story'.
They even had a name for the plan.
It was ignored by most everyone.
Sada is scheduled to meet with Senators Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., and James Inhofe, R-Okla., next week. Both are members of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Don't miss this one, bump!
Thanks for the ping. I got a call last night to turn Hannity and Colmes on last night; the Iraqi general who was #2 in command gave great info about how Saddam moved his WMD.
There must be some compelling reasons why the administration isn't highlighting this.
All in the timing... ;-)
Because its a dead end - how do you prove it? Syria isn't going to admit to it, and we aren't going to invade Syria to find it. So the story is a dead end.
It is interesting that Sada is working now with World Compassion, a evangelical Christian organization. I believe he is telling the truth.
