Even though it will probably help the Dems to abandon "abortion rights," and possibly capture some of the support the moral high-road has given the Republican party, it is a wonderful thing!

"It's been a long time coming, but the Democrats are finally throwing the NARAL ladies off the boat."

Are they, really, or is this just more posturing in an election year?

Sure - which one is more important though?

William Saletan gently counseled feminists that it was time to admit: "It's bad to kill a fetus."

It's not a "fetus". It's a baby.

No expectant mother goes to a "fetus shower".

I think they will begin drifting, ever so slowly away from defending Roe, unless they are in safe, commie urban areas like San Fran.

There exists strong contention that the USSC abandoned all legitimacy and abdicated back in 1973 with the decision on Roe.

That's what happens when they just make stuff up as they go along. "emanating from the penumbra...."

They are equally important, for entirely different reasons.

That's like asking which is more important abortion or winning the war on terror. Or which is more important, assisted suicide or adequate oil supplies.

Apples and oranges.

I hope she's wrong. We've got 'em surrounded now and out in the open. Without abortion, they may make some progress, and even without abortion they still have a lot of toxin in their systems.

I'm not sure about this. There is an awful lot of money the dims raise tied to this issue, more than just the feminists. Most Hollyweird money is radically pro-abortion as is the NEA. The dims may go down with the ship rather than throw this issue overboard. Look at the Alito vote - straight party-line opposition to an eminently qualified 15 year veteran of a federal Court of Appeals due to one, single issue: abortion.

You didn't ask me, but I'll give my answer anyway. From a moral standpoint, nothing is more important than abortion. From an urgency to the country standpoint, I think immigration rules.

Not every one is a one trick pony. Still shilling for illegals?

It's ok to use the word "fetus". According to Wikipedia:
The word fetus originates from the Latin fetus meaning "offspring," "act of bearing young," or "is or was filled with young". Foetus is an English variation on this rather than a Latin or Greek word, but has been in use since at least 1594 according to the OED, which describes fetus as etymologically preferable but almost unknown in actual use.

Although the pro-abort/pro-death crowd tries to dehumanize babies when it uses "fetus" instead of "baby", they are actually unknowingly confirming a child's humanity by using that word.

Baby shower does sound cuter than offspring shower or young-one shower, anyway. :)

I'm just tired of hearing abortion as the "litmus test" for everyone in public life.

As for the Democrats, it will take more than the little Dutch boy to plug the holes in that dike.

They are equally important, for entirely different reasons. We disagree, obviously. Oh, BTW: abortion is more important than winning the war on terror, and adequate oil supplies are more important than assisted suicide. Any more you need help on?

Sorry if you think prioritizing equates to ignoring - and I'm not so much "shilling for illegals" and "defending American values and common sense."

Good point.
When I miscarried at sixteen weeks not one person said to me ... no big deal just a mass of tissue or sorry you lost the fetus.
Everyone said, I am so sorry you lost the BABY!!!!!
