I'm just tired of hearing abortion as the "litmus test" for everyone in public life.

As for the Democrats, it will take more than the little Dutch boy to plug the holes in that dike.

Well, litmus tests are OK. You may have noticed that the people that are wrong about abortion are most often wrong about most other problems, too. Not always, it isn't an iron-clad rule. But in works very well in practice.
