This is ugly, even for sabre-rattling standards.

"Israel does not have the courage to attack Iran, and if it commits such a big mistake, the defenders of Islamic Iran will put Israel in an eternal coma like Sharon," Mostafa Mohammad Najjar was quoted as saying by state television.
What a mouth on these guys! You are correct...this is ugly and getting uglier by the day.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I'll give Iran a 9.5 for rhetoric.

Tsk, tsk. There is nothing to fear from the Iranians. All of this can be settled with peaceful talks over nice cups of tea. Mr. Jimmy Carter will probably soon to be on his way there to solve the "problem." (scarasm off)

If the subject weren't so potentially deadly, this would be hilarious...

These Arab cultures are fond of poetic, macho smacktalk. Then they get their butts kicked. (cf. "mother of all battles"). It's really such a tired ritual.

I grow weary of the corrupt Russian/China/Iran alliance. There is little difference between the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and Iran today.
In 1962, Khrushchev supplied nuke tipped missiles to Cuba. Today, Putin supplies Iran with the design and construction of a nuclear plant (now completed) and is supplying nuclear fuel to Iran.
In 1962, Cuba would not have been a problem without the Soviets. Today, Iran would not be a problem without the Russians.
In 1962, Khrushchev supplied the nukes to threaten American allies in the OAS and America herself. Today, Putin has made Iran a threat to American allies (most notably Israel) and America herself.
The difference? In 1962, JFK was upfront with the American people and said the problem behind Cuba and Castro is the Soviets. Today, George Bush refuses to be upfront with the American people by refusing to name the Russians as the reason why we have this problem in the first place.

"Israel does not have the courage to attack Iran"
The reason Isreal has not is due to the fact that the US doesn't let them.

Israel has the courage. Unfortunatley, they don't have the land mass to sustain nuclear a strike from Iran. But, that would not deter them if they felt Iran's strike were imminent.
If Israel did it, they will do it right and they will do it completely.

When has there been a leader indulging in such irresponsible and dangerous rhetoric, as this nut in Iran?
