Good morning once again, all you fellow political junkies. Put on a fresh pot of coffee, put the sticky buns in the oven, put a fresh battery in the remote control, and join us for the latest episode of the world's greatest daytime soap opera, "As the Democrats Bloviate." Yup, once again, it's that time...
Hey calm down defcon, I was answering a question and never pile on. Nor do I need your explanations.
Having a bad day?
Yep! The Senate Rats would be better off being misquoted. It couldn't be any goofier than what they actually say.
LOL! That would be great.
I too am cautiously optimistic and can't believe it is even this close.
It's a tough political call. Simpler sell to the masses, I think, if enough DEMs are "pure turncoats" so a filibuster can't be reasonably pulled. I think that's why the running count of votes is being made.
Purely as a matter of principle, the better approach is to be for the vote and against the nominee, but that would have cloture passing by a fat margin, which would confound the lefties something awful.
Looks like they're toast any way you wanna slice it. Damn the luck.
Yeah. They're in a jam. The challenge is figuring how to proceed while getting the smallest amount of "stuff" stuck to 'em.
Leaky was accusing Hatch of not quoting him accurately about something...but, of course, he was too chicken to let Hatch back on to "discuss it"...
The dems are masters of the "hit and run" tactic...
What is so bad? Where do I begin.......
He supported Arlen Specter for re-election over Pat Toomey.
He supported mandatory trigger locks on handguns.
He supported LOST.
He supports "giving" a greater percentage of our GDP to foreign aid...echoing the words of Kofi Annan.
He supported an increase in the Federal Minimum wage.
He sponsored a bill to guarantee socailist insecurity payemnts to all born before 1950.......
Is any of that truly conservative? NO! He's a socialist in sheeps clothing...and because he's a high ranking member of the Republican party....he is more dangerous to our liberties than a junior member of the minority party could ever be. Santorum has no moral compass. His only guiding principle is this: What is best for Ricky.
Wow - Alito is really this powerful that he can bring down the USA??
Must mean Kerry watches H&C and heard Ann talking about how unqualified Miers is for SCOTUS.
It made my day!
I can believe it's this close because they are that petty
It's all good...I take everything with a grain of salt.
I agree as well, any (R) is better than every (D) and that goes for McCain too if he is the nominee in '08.
It's this close because years of liberal control of the court is swinging to a position that will hurt them. Years of giving the court so much power to create law is about to bite them.
Nah, an aide probably gave him some of her stuff when the Miers debate was on. The Dems were gleeful.
The Dems have told us that Alito should get treated differently than anyone else.
Hey, Nelson. How about making sure that "Average Joes" don't get starved to death in your state.
Here's Jackie Reid, Hillary's butt boy!
