Do you give any credence to the theory that the Dems must keep the count over 60 so that they can say to the base that they couldn't mount a filabuster?..also,where's Dingy Hary?

Santorum doesn't deserve re-election.
He supported Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey.
He supported mandatory trigger locks on handguns.
He supported an increase in the Federal Minimum Wage.
He supported LOST.
He supports "giving" a larger percentage of our GDP in foreign aid.
He sponsored a sham bill to "Guarantee" Socialist Insecurity payments to all born before 1950.
He's a Socialist in Sheeps clothing....and he deserves to be thrown into the street.

Orrin Hatch is making a wonderful speech on the role of the judiciary in our system of government.

Yes, because President Bush asked him to. President Bush could not afford to get Arlen mad at him. PA was to tight a race and they needed each other. Some people are willing to throw a promising young man under the bus because of it. The history of the GOP is that incumbency is primacy. May not be right but that is the way the game is played.

it could happen. I'm just praying that President Bush will not allow Cheney to finish his term as VP if Cheney's not going to run for the presidency.

I've been working all day and just came in to check on this. What are they voting on at this moment? Not voting. C-SPAN2 is keeping an informal account of Senators' positions on confirmation of Alito.

Santorum has a line to walk in PA. But by all means elect Casey, he's a total idiot, nothing like the man his father was.

I'd like to see Byrd vote for Alito just to see the reaction at DUmmie Underground! They think he's some kind of all-knowing village elder of some sort. LOL!
