Today, President Bush welcomed Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to the Oval Office where the two discussed the relationship between the two countries, and made a joint statement to the press. Later in the day, President Bush welcomed 2005 NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Tony Stewart to the South Lawn of the White House where they posed for a photo op with the Nextel Cup Champion team (and the winning Chevrolet !) He also met with West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin in the Oval Office, whose legislative proposals to improve mine safety have passed by the West Virginia Senate unanimously.
Today, the Senate Committee voted along party lines to send the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Senate floor for confirmation.

That was the ONLY photo in the archive of the Baltimore Sun for Laura Bush's trip to Africa. I knew it was her hand without reading their legend, because I had seen that dress on a Dose. The media blackout of her trip was positively disgusting.
Can you imagine the press coverage of a trip like this..........visiting AIDS patients, showing compassion.........if it were Hillary?
Oh, WAIT. Hillary HAS no compassion. It would have been nothing but a photo op...........but it would have been splattered all over the print media.
This whole situation IS disgusting.
I wonder if Hillary has ever knowingly touched a person afflicted with AIDS? I bet not.

In regards to post #14....I recall a speech by the President where he was talking about some who comment on his "swagger".
His reply was "In Texas, it's called WALKING!"
Wasn't that his speech at the RNC Convention???
BTW...I was just listening to Tony Snow...and he was talking about Kerry's remarks about the "spying scandal"..
and it struck me that these people ACT like they are all up in arms because he didn't "go through channels, FISA, Congress"...to get "permission"....which we ALL know would be the difference between catching or missing someone, timewise....RIGHT???
BUT, what did Kerry and Michael Moore and gang make a HUGH deal about during the campaign???
All they talked about was how, after finding out about the attacks on 9/11...he waited 3 MINUTES...before acting.
How long do these idiots thinks all of those "channels" take to go through before acting???
And was this not the same Kerry that waited in his office for about 40 minutes.
Just like their "Saddam wasn't a threat" BS after more than 8 years of bashing Bush 41 for not going all the way to Baghdad to take out Saddam.
