"Any time an offensive lineman goes down the defensive lineman protects himself" (paraphrasing)
What is that idiot talking about?

Since the NFL added the third round of the playoffs in 1978 these are the teams that have won three post season games to get to the SB:
1980 - Oakland Raiders (beat Eagles in SB 15)
1985 - New England Patriots (lost to Bears in SB 20)
1992 - Buffalo Bills (lost to Cowboys in SB 27)
1997 - Denver Broncos (beat Packers in SB 32)
1999 - Tennessee Titans (lost to Rams in SB 34)
2000 - Baltimore Ravens (beat Giants in SB 35)
2003 - Carolina Panthers (lost to Patriots in SB 38)

Cut blocks. The Broncos are famous for using cut blocks where the o-line aims low on his block, cut blocks are the most likely legal blocks to injure a d-lineman, so when d-lineman see an o-lineman aiming low their first instinct is to protect their knees and ankles.

Broncos have a reputation for blocking low, particularly on running plays. There was a little rift between Cowher and Shanahan over it last year, so the Broncos offensive blocking scheme will be one of the "storylines" the announcers try to develop this week.

I'm sure the crews for today's games have been told by the league not to %^*@ up like their counterparts did last week.
To: Bender2

The Broncos are going to have to get pressure on Rothelisberger.

Home field advantage matters the least in this round.Correct, thats why Im picking both road teams..
To: mainepatsfan
So far, Denver stops the run, but Roth has time to make a taco salad on passing plays.

My mother just flew out of Charlotte the other day. She said that at the airport they had a giant Panther head with a Seahawk in it's mouth. Which I thought was a little odd because the Seahawk isn't a real bird.
To: Richard Kimball
Wow! He got really lucky on that one.

The last time both road teams won the conference title games was 1997...and they were both coached by Shannahan and Holmgren.
