Nobel laureate: Israel asking for bloodshed Top game theorist says headlong rush for 'peace' lessens the chances

By Ryan Jones

January 22nd, 2006

Rushing to surrender territory to Israel's enemies in an effort to increase security and foster peace is a bankrupt policy that will only lead to further bloodshed.

So said Nobel Laureate Professor Israel Aumann Saturday evening during a speech to participants in the Herzliya Conference on the folly of Israel's “disengagement” from the Gaza Strip and northern Samaria.

Aumann explained the problem is most Israelis, unlike their Islamic foes, have become convinced they are out of time.

“The Arabs always said they have time, and that they can wait 10, 20 or 50 years until we disappear,” he noted.

But Israelis, “we're in a hurry. We're destroying beautiful, flourishing communities in the name of peace, because 'something has to be done.'”

Instead, Aumann lectured, Israel should be patient and wait until the Arabs truly accept the fact of Israel's existence, regardless of how long it takes.

“If we had patience,” he said, “We might really achieve peace. [But] anyone who wants peace now won't ever get a lasting peace.”

“The very act of running headlong after the longed-for peace is precisely that which distances it from us.”

The man recognized as one of the world's leading game theorists also criticized his government's failure to demand any reciprocity from the Arabs, while under Western pressure Israel continues to dole out concessions.

“The wretched Oslo Agreement,” as he referred to it, “includes a clause in which the Palestinian Authority agrees to stop the unbridled incitement in their schools against Israel and the Jews... This clause has never been carried out, and the incitement gets worse and worse each year.”

The rape of impressionable young minds with such hate-filled propaganda “is much more serious than any terrorist acts or Kassam rockets,” the professor warned.

“If children learn in school that the state of Israel should be wiped off the map, they'll become adults who believe the same thing. And not long from now, they'll be the leaders.”

Prof. Aumann: "National Disgrace - and the Press is Silent" 15:43 Jan 22, '06 / 22 Tevet 5766 By Hillel Fendel

Nobel Prize Winner Prof. Aumann at the Herzliya Conference: "The treatment of the expellees is a national disgrace, and everyone is silent... Israel's mad rush for peace has the opposite effect."

excerpt

The world and it's mad rush for peace!!!

1Thes 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

He has a valid point. Where exactly is that line in the sand for Israel?

What's amazing is that the rest of the world actually thinks Israel's obliteration would solve the Arab 'problem'. Israel is the 'beard'.

Amazing and surreal - Don't know which is more amazing, the speed at which it's happening, the silence as it happens, the lack of amazement as the world watches God's Word fulfilled, the horrible silence from Christians....

****
Psalms 83:1-5
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.

For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.

They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:

We saw exactly that a few weeks ago. Israel give back Gaza. The Paletinians in Gaza then tried to invade Eqypt. Nice group of people.

Moshe Dayan handed control of the Temple Mount over to the Waqf after the Israelis had captured it in 1967. Looking back now, it seems to me that this was a huge mistake.

When I read "nobel laureate" and "economist" I immediatelly thought:

there comes another Krugman/Stiglitz defending Israel annihilation.

What a surprise! The guy thinks Israel has the right to exist!! Can the nobel committee take the prize back?

What he is saying has been crystal clear from the beginning, as obvious as a mountain on a prairie. Why can't the Israeli government see it?. Is it because of wishful thinking?

Israel was forced into giving up land by Clinton and Bush's state department. This move makes Israel look weak and caused more attacks. Arafat got a Nobel peace prize also which cheapens the Nobel origination.

The failure of liberals like this guy and most RATs to understand Islam's real jihad, the destruction of Israel, including all Jews and all other unbelievers, including Americans, will ultimately bring about what the Muslims want--the world according to Sharia law and none other. That's precisely the message of the Koran.

Thanks for the painfully obvious observation.

Most everyone knows that this Israel position is begging to be obliterated...or what? The opposite?
Having capitulated in every possible way prior to this what?

Their trump card has been ,always was, the mighty USA to the rescue.

Because of the infinitesimle size, no "insensate city trading" is concievable. One big ZOT and Israel is a wet spot in the desert.

Go ahead. What? Pre-emptive First Strike? Okay. Then what? The victor would be obliged to take the spoils.
Warts and all. Yech! I don't know about you but having an obliterated Iran to salvage may be worse than losing in one big merciful Kaboom!

But ,then what? We all live Happily Ever After? Phase 2 is more dreadful in its portents than the first phase.
This is where the ROW gets to play...after the world's MSM has it's field day of "INFOTAINMENT" and everyone realizes that the worlds source of pistachio nuts has been obliterated.

Is anybody having fun with all of this yet? The aftermath of all this is where the going gets really tough for everyone.

Having Fun now?

Look at this.

Another nut joins me and Glick and Arens and the rest of the tiny circle of the delusioned- as you call us.

Added to all those all too few still sane in Israel and almost everyone on this board who really cares about the safety of Israel and from a distance see what most of you marching kadima into the abyss refuse to understand.
