You are a great defender of Mikey. Are you sure you are on the right forum? This is a conservative forum. If you look at the top of your page and it says freerepublic, maybe you wandered back on here by mistake.

Your nasty comments and blind defense of Mikey fit in the other anti-freerepublic forums, not here. No way can you claim you add anything to the discussions other than to attack. That is the stuff of trolls we have seen come and go.

Over and over you badger decent posters with snide comments and ridicule. Your user posts show it.

"Smart ass."

You know you're wrong, so in desperation you start calling names to people who don't side with you. That's the best "argument" the pro-death can offer, since reality is not on your side.

It's doubtful anyone would "want to live" in the condition that Terry Schiavo did in her last years. But to say that someone was in a similar situation wishes to be neglected and painfully dehydrated to death stretches belief.

Oh yeah, I forgot--death by dehydration is ectasy. With deceit like that guiding our out-of-touch leaders, it doesn't matter what anyone has in their living will. You all know what's best for everyone.

"This is a conservative forum."

Yeah, a conservative forum that believes in the rule of law. You don't. You believe in mob rule -- that your wishes supercede Terri's. That you know better. That you're for "life", so that makes you a better person.

This is conservative forum that believes in the facts and the truth. You have to throw away logic and facts and reason in order to embrace your feelings. That's not what this forum is about. You belong on some touchy-feely forum, not here -- we don't utter absolute absurdities like "Terri was alive, alert and remarkably healthy and was aware ...".

This is a conservative forum that believes in the power of the state, not the federal government. Yet you go crying to the U.S. Supreme court and Congress and the President to overrule state law, and you don't even live in Florida! Who are you to tell the citizens of Florida how they will live? Busybody.

Yeah, one of us doesn't belong all right.

"... but note that providing water and nourishment to those incapable of providing it to themselves is NOT "being kept artifically alive".

In general, no, of course not. But in Terri's case, yes. She had a surgically implanted feeding tube, without which she would die.

I call that "artificial".

"It's doubtful anyone would "want to live" in the condition that Terry Schiavo did in her last years."

In her last years? How about for 15 years! Please tell me exactly how her quality of life was any different "in her last years" as compared to "in her first years".

Geez Louise. Buy a clue, people.

"But to say that someone was in a similar situation wishes to be neglected and painfully dehydrated to death stretches belief."

Neglected, Terri wasn't. Wasn't Michael awarded "Guardian of the Year" in 2005? Oh, I guess because you don't agree with the award, that means it doesn't exist, huh? That allows you then to make the totally false and baseless claim that "Terri was neglected".

And she couldn't feel pain, so just cool it with your factless histrionics.

Yeah, one of us doesn't belong all right.

You got that right. Where did you learn to twist words and to redefine the term, "conservative"? Regarding the Terri forum, I deal with what I saw and with facts from the perspective of a Christian. Are you the opposite of me? I notice your biting vindictive words do not change, ooze with vitriol just as they did. You make a great contrast to those who actually see the wrong in the killing of Terri. And stop insulting me. It is enough that you insult my intelligence with your drivel, but be careful about the personal attacks.

"You know you're wrong"

No, I'm right. You're being a smart ass and you know it.

No one specifies in their Living Will how they want to die -- they specify the conditions under which they wish to be allowed to die. They trust their caregiver to make that happen.

And they assume that busybodies like you will mind their own business.

"Regarding the Terri forum, I deal with what I saw and with facts from the perspective of a Christian."

Yeah. A Christian liberal. The facts are the facts, whether from the perspective of a Christian, a Jew, or an atheist.

What you mean to say is that you chose to ignore certain facts because you are a Christian and because those facts don't fit in with your right-to-life fanaticism. C'mon. At least be honest.

"You make a great contrast to those who actually see the wrong in the killing of Terri."

Thank you. I try.

"Where did you learn to twist words and to redefine the term, "conservative"?"

Huh?

I said that conservatives believe in the rule of law, not the rule of man. I said that conservatives believe in the facts and the truth, not in their feelings. We say "Yes", not "Yes, but". Liberals do that. I said that conservatives believe in "states rights", not the centralized power of the federal government.

Tell me how any of that redefines conservative. I dare you. I double-dog dare you.

I won't rise to your bait.

I am fascinated by your consistant twistings reflected on your posts on this thread and appreciate that you provide a stark contrast to the posts of people with decent motives.

It bumps the thread and allows you to paint a picture of yourself.

You will not understand what the word, "conservative" means anyway.

"... a stark contrast to the posts of people with decent motives."

People like you with decent motives scare the bejeesus out of me. People like you with decent motives would force my wife and my family to suffer the emotional and financial burden to care for my shell of a body despite my wishes to the contrary.

Well, at least you admitted that this case was about you and your motives instead of Terri's wishes. I'll give you that much.

'Bumping' doesn't work on this forum.

You really don't get it, do you? You keep twisting.

I am not surprised people like me scare you. Yeah, I admit this case was about my motives. I just hate state sponsored murder.

Don't you?

You're not alone. I, too, am surprised at the number here on FR whose conservative values are superficial. There are many who have espoused the notion that government should interfere when it supports their purposes.

The people who take our side do so with the truth, evidence, and personal witness the media refused to accept.

Sorry, but that's just not correct. Most of the distortions have come from those who would take your position.
