"Smart ass."
You know you're wrong, so in desperation you start calling names to people who don't side with you. That's the best "argument" the pro-death can offer, since reality is not on your side.
It's doubtful anyone would "want to live" in the condition that Terry Schiavo did in her last years. But to say that someone was in a similar situation wishes to be neglected and painfully dehydrated to death stretches belief.
Oh yeah, I forgot--death by dehydration is ectasy. With deceit like that guiding our out-of-touch leaders, it doesn't matter what anyone has in their living will. You all know what's best for everyone.
In her last years? How about for 15 years! Please tell me exactly how her quality of life was any different "in her last years" as compared to "in her first years".
Geez Louise. Buy a clue, people.
"But to say that someone was in a similar situation wishes to be neglected and painfully dehydrated to death stretches belief."
Neglected, Terri wasn't. Wasn't Michael awarded "Guardian of the Year" in 2005? Oh, I guess because you don't agree with the award, that means it doesn't exist, huh? That allows you then to make the totally false and baseless claim that "Terri was neglected".
And she couldn't feel pain, so just cool it with your factless histrionics.
No, I'm right. You're being a smart ass and you know it.
No one specifies in their Living Will how they want to die -- they specify the conditions under which they wish to be allowed to die. They trust their caregiver to make that happen.
And they assume that busybodies like you will mind their own business.
