Freeper Friends:

This article reflects the Katherine Harris I know. She's going to need help from Republicans & Conservatives all over Florida & our country to defeat liberal Dem Nelson.

Remember that we need more Republican Senators to stop the Dems' filibusters and to get the President's Judicial nominees confirmed....................Julie

FINALLY!!!!!! I've been saying that she would beat the wooden Indian for months. Welcome aboard all of you experts who were worried that voters would hold 2000 against her.
With 1100 people coming to Florida every day, nobody is coming there to vote Democrat or to vote against Harris.
When the wooden Indian votes against Alito under master Harry's orders, the fun will begin.

If there was any remaining doubt that Florida's top Republican leaders weren't behind Katherine Harris's run for U.S. Senate, those leaders did their best Saturday to cast it aside.

Gov. Jeb Bush said he would campaign for Harris and encouraged a crowded room of Republican activists to do the same. At a separate rally following his speech, Lt. Gov. Toni Jennings gave strong praise to Harris and told her, "Go, run and win."

"People say to me 'How can she win, she's 20 points behind in the polls?' and I say, 'Polls mean nothing at this point in the campaign,'" said Ed Rollins, who was President Reagan's political director. "The way she's going to win is the same way Jeb won (and) President Bush won. It's you Floridians who turn out and vote."

You know...at this point, people need to be upfront about their desires.

If you want her to lose, admit it.

If you want her to win, or least acknowledge she'll be the Rep candidate and her win means a Republican (more conservative) vote...with all due respect...Shut Up about how she'll never win and help her win.

The advantage is toward Republicans in Florida by a good margin. To the point even a weak candidate (martinez) won. She CAN win, and it's about time people got over the fact the candidate THEY want won't be chosen and support a person that seems decent enough on conservative agendas.

Now if you DON'T want her to win, fine, fair enough, But admit it straight out instead of hiding behind "guarentees" she's a loser. I haven't exactly hid my desire for Chafee to lose. I haven't hid there is no love lost for DeWine in his race. I certainly haven't hid my desire to let McCain go down in flames no matter what ticket he's on. I've taken the hits for not being willing to support everyone just because they are techically a "Republican". So, if you don't want Harris to win, admit and state why. My response if that your foolish given it's unlikely she'll be a part of the McCain/Collins caucus, but at least we'd have honesty from folks.

And if you really don't think she can win? She's going to be the Republican nominee. She'll be in the more conservative wing of votes. There is absolutely no reason to state repeatedly a singular opinion she can't win, unless you want to dampen the efforts of those helping position her to win. Again, understandable if your desire if to sabotage her candidacy. But given she's not a Liberal or McCainite, sabotaging her candidacy should be something only Liberals should be undertaking.

I was at the rally today. It was a great rally. The room was crowded and there were plenty of people showing their support. Now that the state party is getting behind her along with the Governor, I believe that her momentum will pick up and so will her fundraising. I know there will be a victory in November and Florida will have two Republican Senators. I plan on doing whatever possible to help get here elected. I was truly inspired today hearing her and the others speak.

Down 20 points in the polls?

It may normally be too early for the polls to count, but she probably has better name recognition than Nelson. She needs to get the "Cruella DeVille" smashed and smashed good. I have no idea how to do that.
