Real Hardball by John Kerry (this full-of-himself idiot posted at daily Kos website)

There's something that doesn't sit right with me when, on the day Osama Bin Laden resurfaced in a disturbing audio tape, cable television ends up in a game of name calling as a war protester is compared to Osama Bin Laden.

That's reason to be outraged - but even more outrageous is the fact that in a flurry of sound bites what was lost was a real discussion of the fact that more than four years after the devastating attacks of 9/11, more than four years after George Bush boasted we wanted Osama "dead or alive," more than a year after Osama Bin Laden showed his hateful face in yet another video, this barbarian is still very much alive and boasting of additional attacks against the United States.

John Kerry's diary :: :: Here's what I'd like to see debated on Hardball.

President Bush's mouthpiece Scott McClellan can claim this administration puts terrorists out of business, but yesterday's tape reminds us that instead of being out of business, Osama is still out there.

If this administration had followed through on the opportunity to capture Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora in 2001, the world would be a better place with Osama Bin Laden brought to justice -- and we wouldn't be having this discussion today.

And here's what the media should insist we discuss.

President Bush and his defenders continue to claim that Osama Bin Laden didn't escape at Tora Bora. But Gary Bernstein's book Jawbreaker documents what I said early in 2002 and during my debates with George Bush: that because Donald Rumsfeld's Pentagon didn't use American troops to do the job and instead outsourced the job of killing the world's #1 terrorist to Afghan warlords, this cold blooded killer got away.

So what's the truth? There's a question that the full force of cable television should demand be answered. Press accounts over the last month have raised new concerns about the reliance on Afghan forces at Tora Bora in 2001. One account cited a Department of Defense document said to summarize the case against a suspected al Qaeda militant. The militant was believed to have helped Osama bin Laden escape from Tora Bora. More recently, August Hanning, the head of German intelligence, has said bin Laden bribed Afghan forces at Tora Bora to make his escape.

The evidence keeps mounting:

Isn't it time we had the truth? Yes or no, did Osama Bin Laden escape from Tora Bora in 2001?

Here's a subject suited for true hard ball, on Hardball: four years of failure - enough is enough - why hasn't Osama Bin Laden been captured or killed, and how will he be destroyed before he next appears on tape to spread his disgusting message?

That discussion -- rather than criticizing American citizens who exercise their right to free speech and express dissenting opinions - is the discussion that America needs. That would be the kind of debate on Hardball to which we should all tune in.

John Kerry

P.S. I want you all to know that I’m reading your many comments. My wife Teresa reads blogs passionately, and I follow blogs too, and I’m glad I can be a part of this – and frankly I’m not worried about taking some slings and arrows along the way. I’ve faced worse! So keep the comments coming -- good, bad, hopefully not indifferent.

Why would FDR be a failure? Hitler was dead and Germany unconditionally surrendered within 3.5 yrs of declaring war.

What did FDR fail at? Victory was achieved over the enemy in under 4 yrs.

Has AQ unconditionally surrendered yet?

Has the Iraqi insurgency?

When they do, then we can compare the two.

I bet those slings and arrows are nothing when compared to grains of rice flying into your butt cheeks. If we sent Kerry into the mountains of Tora Bora he would have set a new speed record while running away from the fight with a load of crap in his pants.Hey John, take your trusty shotgun and stuff it up your ass.

When war protesters use the same statements and assertions as the enemy as to why the war on terror should end, it deserves to be pointed out.

The nation is once again, getting "Kerried Away."

What with the effort to make the term "Swift Boated" derogatory, when it actually means to have your despicable past brought out, to tell the truth about someone they desire to keep hidden," the term "Kerried" contrasts in that it refers to telling lies about an entire group or individual in order to gain Political points for attaining office."

Kerry "Kerried" every Viet Nam Veteran back in 1971 when he went before the Fulbright Committee and branded us as 'monsters,' and 'war criminals.' He continues to "kerry" the nation today by not releasing his full Military Records to the entire Public and standing on medals he doesn't deserve, Medals that he claimed to have very publicly thrown away back then, yet has them prominently displayed on his walls today.

Maybe being 'Kerried' should also include, "I opposed Kos before I supported them." Too bad he isn't paying more attention to his Senate Duties than playing on the Internet.

We knew the day it happened. Official Nazi radio announced Hitler's death and played nonstop funereal dirges to mourn his passing.

Adm. Doenitz admitted it and other Nazi officials confirmed it during the surrender negotiations.

The Russians had photos of his corpse within days when they discovered it outside the bunker.

The only people that thought he was still alive are tinfoilers and those who but into Weekly World News type stories that say he escaped to Argentina.

Hitler's death was no big secret. It was celebrated and covered throughout the world immediately after it happened.

We knew for sure right away.

We knew for sure right away.

But it couldn't be certified for another 40-50 years -- giving rise to all the rumors. And that was the poster's point.

John F Kerry = Just For Kaos

Now he agrees terrorists are bad? WOW!
That's a big step for you John. Or is it just bin laden?!? Sorry my mistake. Per JFK those in Iraq are only bad cause we were bad first. Go meet your maker! That would be DOWN to hell, by the way, not UP to heaven, in case you've forgotten, slimebag.

If Clinton had gone 4.5 yrs without getting Osama

Four and half years? Where have you been? Try eight years.

Clinton had multiple chances to nab bin Laden when it was still easy to do.

Today Osama lives in caves like a bat. Bush has driven him there. He has no ability to launch fresh attacks. During Clinton's misrule bin Laden launched attack against American interests with impunity.

You know, compared to John Edwards I actually like Kerry. Compared to Edwards Kerry's lovingly pathetic.

Edwards is insufferable. He needs to be stuffed in a burlap bag and thrown in a manure pile.

To lift your spirits, read the current GQ article on sKerry. It documents how much 'Rats despise him and how unwanted he is for a run in '08.

I'll respect his service, but that doesn't make his sh!t gold.

You say you'll respect his service? Allow me to refresh your memory on what you posted earlier.

Methinks McCain either got exceptional care by the NVA and he's hiding it, or he was their boy after the first interrogation.

Insinuating that McCain collaborated with the enemy is an odd way of showing your respect. I have spoken to and have been trained by several POWs from Vietnam. When specifically asked about collaborators they only mention two people and not by name. One committed suicide upon returning to the States and the other leads a reclusive life in New England. I have never heard any of them criticize McCain's performance.

Many on this forum fall into the trap of unfairly criticizing people's honor and integrity instead of their mistaken political ideas. McCain is so screwed up in so many ways it's not funny. The MSM call him a maverick for breaking left from the GOP when what he is really doing is taking the easy way out. It is not politically courageous to insist on humane treatment for terrorists. It is not courageous to be wishy washy on the 2nd amendment. Both these are examples of riding the fence for the next presidential election.

If you want to criticize his integrity, instead of making up stuff from Vietnam, why not try something more clear cut like the Keating Five scandal.

Must be a case of PEST all the DUmmies got after the election. It just hit AliBora & Johnny Raisin(sloe gin)berry harder. Plus they have the permanent version.

You can tell these Dems just know they are entitled to power. When they don't get it they break down a la Gore. It reminds me of an episode of Little House on the Prarie, when Mary's baby died and she refused to beleive it and kept humming a lullaby. Kerry and Gore probably keep humming "Hail to the Chief" to themselves over and over. Have nay of our guys ever gone off the deep end after losing? I didn't think so.
