Hillary's "Plantation" and 2008 (Who's afraid of a Big Bad Hillary?!)
RealClearPolitics ^ | 1/20/06 | John McIntyre

Senator Clinton’s Martin Luther King Day speech was perhaps the first gaffe in the 2008 presidential race. While it would be silly to characterize this mistake as a huge issue that is going to derail her candidacy, it does provide an opportunity to take a look Hillary’s candidacy and her chances for the Democratic nomination and the Presidency.

For those unaware of Hillary’s “plantation” remark, this is what she said at Al Sharpton’s event to a predominantly black audience in Harlem:

When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation and you know what I'm talking about…..

Since we're discussing Hillary, I thought I'd put this here, although it's off the topic of the Plantation remark.

Hillary has attacked the administration on the issue of Iran. But last year, her husband told a forum he admired Iran very much.

Here is what Clinton said at a meeting on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland:

“Iran today is, in a sense, the only country where progressive ideas enjoy a vast constituency. It is there that the ideas that I subscribe to are defended by a majority.”

And here is what Clinton had to say in a recent television interview with Charlie Rose:

“Iran is the only country in the world that has now had six elections since the first election of President Khatami (in 1997). (It is) the only one with elections, including the United States, including Israel, including you name it, where the liberals, or the progressives, have won two-thirds to 70 percent of the vote in six elections: Two for president; two for the Parliament, the Majlis; two for the mayoralties. In every single election, the guys I identify with got two-thirds to 70 percent of the vote. There is no other country in the world I can say that about, certainly not my own.”

The more I hear her speak in public the less I think she'll be elected. DemocRATS are starting to float Mark Warner over her. Either way, the less the Left has control over the media (FoxNews, Talk Radio, Internet), the less their chances of regaining power.

I think what Bill Clinton was trying to say there is that the Iranian people want reform. There really are 2 different Irans, one is the government of old Islamofascists, and the other is the people of Iran, most of whom are young and progressive and want better ties with the west. Bill Clinton was praising the younger more progressive Iran.

I only heard the comment on radio, but I could almost see her head going left to right at the "and you know what I'm talking about" part.

I think we need to encourage the DemonRATS to nominate Hitlery, then rally around her and take their loathsome causes; abortion, "gay-rights", betrayal of our troops, gun grabbing, etc. "into the streets." That ought to ensure election for any conservative slate we care to nominate.

Also off topic but interesting ~ while doing an image search yesterday I ran across this web page which focused on a report from 2003:

"American monument dedicated to Al Qaeda fighters"

Clinton honors Al Qaeda

Date: Saturday, March 20, 2003
Place: Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial and Cemetery, Bosnia
Event: Clinton opens a monument dedicated to Al Qaeda fighters and bows to it!
"What is this monument inscribed in Arabic script doing in Bosnia? What is it doing in the Western media declared "Heart of Europe?" None of the peoples of ex-Yugoslavia speak or understand Arabic. None. None of the Bosnian Muslims with exception of maybe a tiny minority of Islam clergy understands Arabic. So, for whom was this monument erected? The only answer to the puzzle could be the fact that round 10,000 foreign volunteers, jihad fighters, fought against the Christian population of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Most of these Islamic fanatics, members of Al Qaeda, came from Arab speaking countries.

And that is the answer to the puzzle.

America has right to know. As you will see from the text that follows - American government invested ONE MILLION dollars into this monument."

The above is an excerpt - the article continues at: "American monument dedicated to Al Qaeda fighters""

Is Hillary a cheap race-baiter, like Johnny Cochran? Voters need to know.

That is my understanding.

That would be logical - but it's Bill Clinton we're talking about. Reread the article; your take is backwards. He explicitly promotes the mullahocracy and slanders the US. His speech is remenescent of nothing so much as Jane Fonda touring a North Vietnamese prison camp and putting prisoners in a bind where they had to either seem to agree with their captors - or get themselves tortured.

If it is... it is a very good one. Check out the shadows on Clintoon and the folks standing behind him. Most folks forget about the shadows when using photoshop. The pros never forget about the shadows.

It really is ~ As are the articles on this site which is referenced and linked to in the above article: GIS Special Topical Studies: African Strategic Studies. © GIS ~ Balkan Strategic Studies

Such as this from Interview Highlights Changing Situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Terrorist Escalation (From a Serbo-Croat language news magazine on October 6, 2003 ~ details of an interview in Belgrade with GIS Editor Gregory Copley regarding the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the links to terrorism.)

In one of your reports you claim that memorial center in Srebrenica, according to your Islamic sources, will become some kind of sanctuary for radical islamists in Europe . What kind of sanctuary?

Not a sanctuary, but a shrine around which Islamists have said they wish Muslims to rally. This would be the first Muslim "holy site" in Europe , and this is part of the Islamists’ stated view of bringing Islam into the heart of Europe , not as a part of a modern, multi-cultural Europe , but in a conquering sense.

Many Europeans would regard this as infeasible, but we have already seen the development of radical Islamic government – under Izetbegovic – literally initiating terrorism and terrorist bases and training within Europe . Now we see attempts, led in large part by Izetbegovic’s SDA, to transform southern Serbia ’s Raška region – which they call Sandzak – into a geographic link between BiH at the area of the Goražde Corridor with the Serbian province of Kosovo , which has largely been “cleansed” of Serbs, to Albania and the Adriatic .

This is a coherent geopolitical strategy. If it works, there would be no need for Montenegro to seek independence from the Serbia & Montenegro union; it would have already occurred, de facto. At that point, I would not give great odds for the future independence of Montenegro as a sovereign state.

Former US president Bill Clinton was present in Srebrenica at opening ceremony. What feedback had that back in US?

The impact of former Pres. Clinton’s visit to Srebrenica is only just beginning to be felt in the US . At first it was thought that it was merely a visit to express his fondness for the Bosnian Muslims, but now that knowledge of his links with Izetbegovic and the payment of $250,000 for the visit by the SDA is becoming known, more questions are being raised.

Here is the "plantation" strategy that no one seems ot have grasped"

1. Hillary wants to be elected President in 2008.

2. Her perceived (by some) toughest opponent would be Condi Rice.

3. Republicans often make the case that black voters are "on the
plantation" of Democrats, because they are taken for granted, given their bloc-like voting.

4. A Condi campaign would threaten the Dem lock on black voters.

5. Commentators, if not the Condi campaign, would make a major issue of black voters considering Republican for the first time, and "plantation" would be the key word/label for this issue.

6. Hillary wants to poison this well, by memorably (mis)using the word to cloud its meaning, deceptively suggesting that it is simply a synonym for "partisan." Hillary needs to defuse this bomb before it blows up her chances.
