I think Obama wants no part of her and will run on his own merits at the right time.

The senator told CNN's "American Morning" he believed that Clinton was merely expressing concern that special interests play such a large role in writing legislation that "the ordinary voter and even members of Congress who aren't in the majority party don't have much input."

What on Earth does that have to do with a plantation? It isn't just naked pandering for the VP slot... it doesn't make any sense.

Methinks Obama needs to get off Hillary's plantation.

What precisely would the "Uncle Tom" role be in this relationship? After all the cheap shots on Colin Powell, it appears Obama welcomes the role.

Why else would he belittle the real relationships on the historical plantations to which his apparent "boss" is referring?

Yeah, it's a lullaby if the source was Hillary or any other Democrat, but a racist remark worthy of condemnation and resignation if Republican.

Yo Osama Obama: in 1968 there were 295 Democrats in the House, 68 Democrats in the Senate, the President was a Democrat and 32 Governorships were Democrats. Why was that not too much consolidated power?

Liberal hypocrite - nothing new to see here.

Well at least we voters have a little more access to our own money (tax cuts).

What would Obama know about the plantation? He was raised by his white grandparents.

And I LOVE Laura's comment calling Hillary's comment ridiculous.
5 words and she summed it up completely:
"It was a ridiculous comment"

Meanwhile Hillary is spewing out a far greater number of words trying to back pedal and justify.

Interesting that our favorite-to-despise Democrats in the Senate are complaining about the (plantation) House of Representatives which is composed of members much closer in affinity with their constituencies, and I assume, they are less prone to being career politicians like our tenured stale senators. We all need to revisit our understanding of how government should be working, accept not how it now practiced, politicized and misrepresented. There is a great counter balance between the Senate and the House of Representatives. For some reason, some Democrat senators resent that balance. They really need refresher courses in civics and government, and perhaps renew their vows of loyalty. The House of Representatives is the PEOPLE's House; the Senate is the Lobbyists' and special interests' house - the Wh*re House.

"All Legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."
(Article I, Section 1, of the United States Constitution)
The chief function of Congress is the making of laws. The legislative process comprises a number of steps, and much information is available from this page concerning the legislation introduced and considered in the 109th Congress. To help you understand the information and how it interrelates, a very brief overview of the legislative process within the House of Representatives is presented below. There are many aspects and variations of the process which are not addressed here. A much more in-depth discussion and presentation of the overall process is available in How Our Laws Are Made. Most of the information presented below was excerpted from that Congressional document. [http://www.house.gov/house]
