This is a "legitimate" test in-so-far as it was developed by researchers at the University of Georgia. It was designed to test the theory that homophobia is a manifestation of repressed homosexual desire. The researchers reported difficulty finding heterosexual men who were "high-grade non-homophobic."
I only heard one actually say it and that was that girl who went to jail had his kid and then after she got out of jail married him and had another kid. Is that who you are referring too?
Try harder, buddy!
My score: "27 - non-homophobic." Lowest here so far. So am I part of the "homosexual agenda" if their mere existence doesn't bother me as much as it does others?<<
My score: 21 high grade non-homophobic
I would have answered most of the value questions "don't care" which is not "neither agree nor disagree". I think that is the biggest problem with the test. Do I think Jimmy Dale should be a scout leader? Not after the college freshman wrote about the joys of being with an older man. I would feel the same if a female teacher had written a similar article about older women.
I'm wondering when the heterophobe questionaire is coming? The gay scene can be nasty.
LOL

"Homosexuality is immoral behavior that hurts those involved and their families.
How often do you figure child molestors honestly insist that it was mutual consent? Or that they're really in love?
Further both child attraction and homosexual attraction of psychological illnesses."
I have gay relatives and my life hasn't and my life hasn't become a pit of despair yet but i'll be sure to keep you updated.
I really don't see your point about mutual consent. Are homosexuals raping each other evrey time they have sex?
Please explain. Do you mean cheating on one's spouse? That would be wrong - but irrelevant.
How often do you figure child molestors honestly insist that it was mutual consent? Or that they're really in love?
Again, please explain. Are you suggesting that all homosexual sex is forcible rape and never consensual?
Further both child attraction and homosexual attraction of psychological illnesses.
??? You'll really have to explain this one.
Homosexual attraction is unusual (1-3%), but any other adjective (immoral, psychologically ill, criminal, weak, hedonistic, etc. ad nauseam) is not self-evident to me.
i rated the same score, 55, and therefore am classed as homophobic. i also disagree - i don't fear gays. i thought some of the questions were rather leading, and didn't really allow true answers.
Homophobically yours,
PROW
I beat you with a 60 wooowooo.
I would disagree with that but then that would mean I agree.
Whatever "homophobic" is, I sure as hell hope I got it.
Exactly. I don't attack same-sex couples from every possible direction just 'cos I'm not comfortable with two men kissing in front of me. For that matter, I try not to look at *anyone* kissing in public. Except two really hot women! But that's just one straight man's opinion, I could be wrong : )
It was designed to test the theory that homophobia is a manifestation of repressed homosexual desire.
I don't think this is true in general although some of the people who are most outspoken about their anti-gay opinions are obvious hypocrites. Sometimes these people are politicians. Even on FR I have noticed that the people who dominate every anti-gay thread and especially those threads involving the possibility of "gay genes" appear to have had some same-sex attraction in their past.
DAMMIT!!! I only got 96!!!
Cue Roseann Roseanna Danna: "We don' kno' WHAT it is."
I rated non-homophobic, but felt there were some questions that were too vague.
For example: Does it make you uncomfortable to see a gay couple in public?
Well, it depends upon what they are doing in public. I've walked into public bathrooms and seen gays engaged in sex. That made me uncomfortable.
63 - Your score rates you as "homophobic."
I'm a female and got a high score. I guess it's becaue of that one time I shaved my head. I wanted to slap every single one of the dykes that came on to me.
oops, did I say dyke???
